One of the first things they asked me on the phone interview was about compensation, so I would think that is a good sign as well no?

If they are asking you to bring the ID stuff, they're probably prepared to offer the job to someone. Are there others interviewing?

Question, when a company sets up an interview with you and asks you to bring two forms of ID for the I9, that's a good sign right?

Where I work it means you were hired.

I am not sure. It is a temp-to-perm job that I applied for on Monday and had an interview scheduled on Wednesday.

Just got a part time job at ESPN Central Texas. I will be running the boards on Friday nights during High School Football and working all day Sundays during the NFL games.

It kind of blows I'll be working during NFL games and won't be able to watch the Niners. Unless I watch via my iphone or pc. I'll just have to DVR them or record the 30 minute versions from DIRECTV.

I've been trying to get my foot in the door for a while, so I need to take the chance while I got it. Who knows if it will lead to anything else or not, but it can't hurt.

Dude that's sick.

But I feel like it's kinda ironic that you'll be working for ESPN but won't be able to actually watch your favorite NFL team.

Bringing in forms of ID is mainly to do background checks. Because I have been to some interviews that I had bring those things and still didn't get hired. Now if they give you the paper to do a drug test, then yeah that is a good sign that you are hired.

Drug tests are expensive and companies don't give it out to everybody just to be doing it unless they going to hire the person.

Even if they need to do background/credit checks they can get that info off of his resume.

Depends on the company and where you live at. Some companies and cities/towns are really anal about it and want to run your drivers license number through the FBI database. And if you don't have a driver's license, they run your state ID number or social security number.

Running a background check off a person's name only produces way too many false reads. Especially the person have a common name. Like my name.......it is several million people in the USA that have my full exact name.

Some of us are dead, some in prison, some doctors, some lawyers, etc.

I spoke to another guy (who actually used to work with me at my current job) who used to do this part time and he said its very easy. I can probably watch the Niners game when they are local because we have tv's there and on my fire or PC

Man, being a transfer student really sucks for class selection. There is nothing interesting open that doesn't conflict with the class I have to take and most of the stuff open is for majors in that field, or has prereqs that are already closed. I've been trying to figure this out the past 3 hours and have made no progress.

Stop bringing up games I don't own

It's been awhile since I bought a game, but I'll tell you what's really awesome. Pacman and Tetris. I start those up and it's 3 am before I know it. I end up listening to half my collection of cassettes and hopefully the VCR doesn't eat my Fraggle Rock tape again, was planning to watch it as I fall asleep in my race car bed.
