To put things in perspective......most of my friends that I went to high school with have kids in high school right now that are juniors. A handful of them have a child that started their freshmen year of college last month.

Sure I know some of you all that grew up in small towns can't imagine such a thing......I do read twitter ya know. But it is true.

Hell my grandma had her 1st child when she was 13. Wasn't by choice, but she had one.

Well yes. Also the same school that had gun shootings inside of the school and outside of the school. Same school were 1 boy was killed on school grounds right at the front door. Same school were over the 4 years there were 6 kids stabbed, 3 kids beaten with a baseball bat and over all 40 gang related fights in the school hallways.

Same high school. Even despite all that, it was still better then my neighborhood high school.

at my school we threw grenades instead of water balloons.

Oh I know this and I know from experience.

I grew up in DC at a time where you'd be considered crazy to WANT to live there(Late 80s-early 90s)and got older siblings that have told me similar stories as well. The not surprising part is that it's still as bad and probably even worse than when I was coming up.

That comment wasn't meant to be taken serious moreso because most of the stories you tell, you make them sound like they ONLY happen in Chicago, lol.
