I imagine you going through a box with a bunch of old scarves, trying to find a team you know used to be in the EPL and just wondering who the hell half the teams are in the box at some point in your life if you do this.

Can't say I've ever seen that in The Show. BTW, you should call up Dave Lough.. I played with him in summer ball the year he got drafted

I couldn't believe it... only reason I sent him was I had a couple of other chances to send a runner from third on balls hit hard to the outfield in two of the previous extra innings and held them up and ended up stranding them. Saw on that last play he was going to be out by a mile and was starting to wind up to launch my controller, then saw he was safe and started running around the apartment.

I keep Lough, Dyson and Bourgeois in rotation between AAA and the MLB squad, whenever one goes cold I'll bring up one of the others. Lough looked pretty good at the end of the season IRL.

How do you guys finish a whole season of The Show ?

That's why I never buy the game anymore. It's a fun game, but I hate to sim any game and I can't play that many games for one season. I wish they offered other options like 2K does with their Association.

I do play every Association game in a season of 2k.

I always cheat and turn fielding/base running off. Use to knock out about 2 months every weekend. That was playing on my friend's playstation. No telling how much time I could waste with my own ps3.

This. The furthest I ever got was about 90 games and I got burned out.

That is dedication...Hell I don't even feel like playing all 16 games in a NFL season and usually end up simming half the season. My younger cousin once played all 82 games in his NBA game. Took him about 2 months to do.

I don't mind simming games -- I actually like it because I don't want to be able to seriously overperform with a team that really shouldn't be as good (or vice versa). Plus you can get through more seasons that way and I like the front office aspect of franchises just as much as playing the actual games.

Here's my strategy for sports games:

• Football: play every game
• Basketball: play every other game
• Baseball: play one game of each 2 or 3 game series, play two games of each 4 game series

If I get to the playoffs, I play every game.

I enjoy looking at my Stats and know that they came from me so I never SIM but to complete a season, I usually play a game a day (sometimes two).

I've been slacking as of late (Borderlands 2 and other games) so I'm still in mid August but I should have the season wrapped up before The Show '13 hits.

I've actually been excited about gaming, lately.

I've got some decent games to play.


Gran Turismo 5 and Dragon Age: Origins are at the front of the list. I've been racing more online and trying to get in with some OSers. I catch myself going to the drag lobbies a bunch and messing around.

I still play NCAA 13 and Battlefield 3, but not as much. Hell, I have over 300 hrs of multiplayer in Battlefield.. it won't hurt me to take some time away.

I really just want to leave work and play DAO, right now.

I'm also going to give Deus EX another chance, but not right now.

I don't have enough spare time to game anymore. It takes me well over a month to beat a 10-12 hour game these days. You could call it a blessing and a curse. Saving lots of money and getting great value out of the games I own, but still can't game nearly as much as I'd like.

Right now Best Buy has a buy 2 get the 3rd free deal. Would love to take advantage by picking up some older titles I had missed. 3 games for under $50 is a great steal, but I still have Darksiders 2 sitting in plastic for after I beat Max Payne 3.

Not to mention the games I will be scooping up when I take advantage of the holiday sales.

I need a weeks paid vacation just for gaming purposes. lol

My exact strategy for both of these. Worked out perfectly till I got swept by the Dodgers last time I made the playoffs in The Show (10).

I actually played all 82 games in NHL twice last year.

I haven't turned on my Xbox since I got back from vacation about 5 weeks ago. Just no urge for some reason. I've been getting an itch to play Forza 4 thanks to guys posting pictures of their cars on Facebook.

AC3 has had me excited for awhile and Hitman is coming on like a darkhorse. Then whatever games I put on my Christmas list (LOTR lego, NBA 2k, maybe Madden). I always hype up sports game and never really play them much anymore. I'm not sure why.

Hopefully I can finally finish up Sleeping Dogs this weekend.
