I don't like going to parties and watching sports. Everyone is loud. I like to concentrate on the game I'm watching.

Well, it is like that with any sporting event party honestly. It is more of a social gathering then to ACTUALLY WATCH THE GAME type of thing.

Which is pretty damn stupid. I can socialize on any other day.

Only time I'd want to be around people en masse is if I'm AT the game.

Who wants to watch the biggest game of the year with people who don't know or give a damn about anything? People who will talk during important moments, people who will be more interested in watching commercials than whether Tom Brady will get his 4th ring? If you have a bunch of people who care and know what they're talking about, then that's obviously better.

Was supposed to be me, my bro and my Dad. My mom turns around and tells our cousins, aunt, and uncle. I don't have a problem with them but they don't give a flying **** about the game. It's just going to be more noise and nonsense to deal with.

This is why I prefer Championship Sunday over Super Bowl Sunday.
I agree with this, hate watching any football game with other people that don't know anything. Can't watch with my mom just because how negative she is, just watch the game lol(but she's getting better, i've taught her a lot).

Going to my friend's brother's place, went there for Champ games and they know a lot and just watch the game. Plus free food, etc. lol

I had to go to my grandma's SB party for the Saints, I managed to overcome that just with how focused I was and how close to the TV I was. Someone could have been talking to me that night and I would have never known

This girl I work with is hosting a Super Bowl party. She doesn't know a thing about football and I doubt she even knows who is playing.

Yeah, I was a little aggravated at the SuperBowl party I went to.

I sat in the living room, on the couch, drinking my Blue Moon's with a slice of orange throughout the entire game, except during halftime.. I went to the kitchen to pound a few shots of American Honey.

Most people stayed in the kitchen/diving room, which is all pretty much built together. There were three other guys and the woman who was hosting the party (one of my ex girlfriend's mom) who all sat and watched the game. Everyone else only cared when someone scored.

Well......she is a female, what do you expect ? Your average female don't know a damn thing about sports. All females know is that a lot of guys will be there and they might meet their future soul mate there.

That is true. That is why I hit the jackpot with my wife, she knows more about sports then most of my guy friends lol.

I did host a small party, when Auburn played for the National Title.

It was a lot of fun.. we seated about 10 people comfortable, in my living room, and they were all AU fans except for two..

Most people around here do know their football, including a lot of women.

I've hated sports parties ever since Ohio State played Miami for the National Championship. My parents hosted a party and it was so damn distracting. People were being loud and constantly walking in front of the tv. It was so frustrating when in the middle of the play, some idiot walks in front of the tv or stops and begins to watch it.Even when the game was in overtime they were too busy doing other things, but when the Buckeyes finally won it, well then they were the biggest and proudest fans.

That's another thing. I don't give a damn. If I were hosting a party today, for example, there's no chance in hell I'm inviting anyone who's a Patriots fan if I'm a Giants fan.

And a Patriot fan shouldn't WANT to be at a party full of Giants fans, and vice versa.

It's BS. Also can't show all the emotions I'll feel during the game tonight. Guys shoulda seen me during the last Pats/Giants Super Bowl. I don't think I've ever outwardly rooted more during a game that didn't have one of my teams involved.

I'm staying away from the party stuff tonight but my influence has rubbed off on the GF. She's actually going to watch the game tonight

Anyways I was flipping through the channels and I saw that cheesy musical number with all the NBC personnel.....Yeah that was cheese.

Why does it seem like every time I lose a game in Madden it is to a team with a losing record?

Also, why is it still damn near impossible to return punts in that game? And why on the extremely rare occasion that I break a return of more than 20 yards does it invariably get called back by a penalty?

                              /end rant.

I could have gone to a SB party but I decided to just watch it by my self. I dont normally like being around alot of people. Most of the people I either dont know or barely know. Like other people said, people will be loud and focused on commercials or bringing up conversation. I rather watch it instead of hearing other conversations. Plus everyone that might be there most likely will be rooting against NE. I know I am passing up on some good food, but I already got something just in case.
