My chocolate lab absolutely loved peanut butter. My mom started giving her peanutbutter in her kong to keep her busy and out of the kitchen while we were eating dinner. Eventually Mocha would bring her kong to the kitchen and drop it whenever someone was in the kitchen cooking or even if someone was just hanging out in the kitchen regardless of the time of day it was. I used to joke that she was a reeses peanut butter cup, chocolate on the outside (her fur color) and full of peanut butter on the inside.

Just dont put in too much man, I know people like to pack it full and that's too much. You're better off taking some canned wet food and putting it in the Kong, then freeze it (last longer and the pooch will have fun trying to get at it).

It will last much longer, and dog food is easier on her stomach than Peanut butter. Some dogs have allergies to PB as well.

Nah, we just put a thick layer over the opening. I think some kongs are even made with a sort of plastic foam type material filling most of the interior except for the bottom inch or so.

I'm pretty sure me and Canes are in the same PB boat. I have some every day, with Ritz crackers. Delicious.
