Because it isn't a real holiday.

I went to school in Louisiana in 6th grade and we got so many days off it's ridiculous. We had a fall break, spring break, mardi gras all kinds of stuff. There's a reason why Louisiana is always ranked near the bottom in the public school rankings. They're never in school

This isn't a knock on the state itself. Hell, I was born in Lafayette. It's a great place, but the publics schools are terrible. Colleges are great though.

It's funny how when you're in school you think, "****, I wish I had a job. School sucks. At least I'd be getting paid.". Then you start working and you think, "I miss school. It was so awesome. If it wasn't for the money, I wish I could go back to school right now damn it.".

I really do miss it though. Such simpler times and you don't even realize it at the time.

It's also crazy how different things are when you get thrown into the real world. Even more so when you're on your own.

I miss working. I don't miss school at all.
