Anybody every fracture a finger playing basketball? I've got another game coming up and would rather not sit out. I've always played through the pain since I first fractured it in 09. I never really gave it a chance to heal. I've been thinking about either taping it or getting a finger sleeve. Do the sleeves actually help protect it? I mean it doesn't hurt when I'm playing normally, but the slightest jam just screams out pain. Unfortunately... it happens about every other game.

I'm on an Queen binge. I know they did a lot of good music but wow....Some of their stuff is amazing to me.

Going from my fall quarter Spanish class, to this quarter has been a big letdown. This new teacher I have is terrible at actually teaching the language. There is only so much a book can do to help you. My last teacher had assignments that actually got you to speak and write out everything for a few days in class at least and she gave out her own examples. So far in this class we just go over the homework from the previous night, then class ends. Stupid.

I took spanish from the 7th grade to senior year in high school. So in 6 years of Spanish, all I learned from the Chicago Public School system was how to count, say my name and the alphabet. And why ? That is all they ever taught every year, it was always started over with counting and the alphabet.

I learned all my spanish from dating puerto rican, mexican and cuban women. Then move to the east coast just to find out latin people in New York speak a different dialect of spanish from people in Chicago.

That sucks, I had Spanish for 2 semesters and my first class was far better as well. It's tough to learn a different language as a whole, but it's even harder when you're not speaking it in class and don't hear it. It's disappointing how a great teacher can make a class 10 times better but if you have a bad one, then it's really hard to get something out of the class.

On that note, my Law professor is crazy. In a good way, but also a "he's ****ing insane" crazy.

I took 3 business law classes in college, my professor was a jerk and was the reason why I didn't pursue the field of lawyer. He was so annoying that I so didn't want to be a lawyer like him. He just gave lawyers a bad name.

Arrogant and shady. He was like the guy from Lincoln Lawyer times 1000. He use to always tell us stories how he screwed people over and made sure they got extended sentences just because they wouldn't do stuff for him.

I was just thinking wow....the justice system is nothing but a game to lawyers.

I took 3 years of Spanish in high school, forgot most of it, but its still in my brain so going through lessons will refresh some of the old stuff for me so I can still survive this class, however, what makes using the books worse is that it barely gives examples of whatever the lesson is. I hate busy work in classes, but I love it in language classes. Makes learning the language so much easier. Thankfully, I get my old teacher back for my last quarter of Spanish in the spring.

My high school french teacher and spanish teacher was a greek lady who had 27 letters in her last name. She was a favorite among the high school boys.

She use to wear super tight jeans to the point you could count the threads in her thong. Then she wore very low cut tops year round, with no bra ever and she was a DDD and ALWAYS bent over when she talked to you. Needless to say dudes never cut her class.

Before college, I only had 2 male teachers, everybody else were female teachers. But yeah she was the french teacher, spanish teacher and cheerleadiing coach.

And want to know something else about that greek lady teacher ?

After we graduated high school, my friend and I saw her at the store when we came back to Chicago from boot camp and she said you guys aren't in school anymore, you want to hang out with me for a little while ?

That was the best hang out ever. She was a freak.
