Reason number one why I always open and play my games when I first buy them. Never know when you get a bad disc.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
I like my haircut now, after 5 hours. It's usually like that.
The girl was nice and we talked throughout, and I even told her a little shorter in the front (I always end up doing this going back to when I used to get haircuts). I just got it buzzed by my girl for the last few years, but I wanted it blended a bit so I had to pay for someone to do that. I just don't think the haircut was worth 16 bucks.
I tip because that's what you do. Unless it's absolutely horrible service, there's a standard I hold myself to when it comes to tipping. I work at a restaurant, I know how ****ty it can be. It's not like she didn't care. I mean, our conversation touched on Call of Duty... Plus, I still feel guilty from when I was younger and didn't know it was customary to tip someone who cuts your hair. I seriously didn't know back then.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Off Topic 2012
So, not really a NYE resolution, but I am going to try and cook at least twice a week. Its hard to muster up the motivation to cook when its usually just me for supper, but its getting old eating sandwiches, cereal, and rice sides most of the week. Plus, I will have leftovers for lunch and dinner. Win win. Last week I did lasagne, which I had never done before and it turned out great.
Anyway, I'm not sure what to do this week/weekend. My parents brought over a new crock-pot when they came over for dinner last week, so I kind of want something to do with that. Any suggestions from you guys?

On a different, and more depressing note, my general manager at work got fired. I just work in a restaurant like I said in my last post, so it's not like he's some bigwig (in that case I'd probably be happy), but still... dude has been there his whole adult life. Ever since they put it in '97. So I just feel horrible for him. Our whole staff is just shocked, angry, upset. I'm a bit speechless myself. I'm gonna check in later tonight to get the feel from everyone (just been texting a few of the people from the store so far this afternoon). I open the store up tomorrow so I kind of wanna know what I'm walking in to.
On one hand, it could be a good thing. He had grown a bit complacent and a bit indifferent. It was hard to hold people accountable when the top dog let pretty much everything slide. On the other hand, he was just like one of us because we can kind of run ourselves. If you needed a day off, even last minute, he'd be okay with it. He was always in the store and did a lot of work to bring it to where it is today as far as sales (we're #1 in the state, really good area for it but still gotta put in the work for that).
I've never been through a change like this before. I have a set schedule currently, so I'm a bit in limbo about how that's gonna change. Heck, maybe I could be on the chopping block myself... though I doubt it, I'm not big enough for the hammer to come down on me, and I like to think I do a pretty good job. There's going to be changes though, no doubt. We'll see what happens...NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Been doing London Broil wayyy too much recently too. You can get a good sized one for one person for like, 5 or 6 bucks. Blew me away.
I used to like to throw some chicken in a skillet with some kind of seasonings and put it over pasta, but recently I've been into pan frying chicken. I had a banging recipe that I just whipped out of nowhere that tasted just like Chick Fil A. My girlfriend made chicken sandwiches last Friday that were awesome.
All relatively simple stuff.
I know Macaroni Grill has some stuff in the store that's ready to go. A chicken marsala dish that's REALLY good.
Been doing pork chops too. There's an apple sage recipe kit they sell, just gotta follow the directions (I suggest apple cider over apple juice, though).

Re: Off Topic 2012
Listening to my cousin's boyfriend talk about sports is painful. To recap:
-He thinks the Colts should take RG3 over Luck because he won the Heisman
-He doesn't think Tom Brady is any good
-Roethlisberger is washed up and should be replaced by Vince Young or Jordan Jefferson
-Jerry Rice is not the greatest WR of all time
-The Dolphins should trade for Peyton and Reggie WayneComment
