Honestly, the reason I watch wrestling is the same that I watch other fictional shows/movies, some of which are action. I want to be entertained. I want to suspend my disbelief. I want to think that John Cena and the Rock hate each other. I want to see how stories unfold between wrestlers. The conclusions to those stories, instead of being gunfights, etc, just happens to be in the squared circle.

I want to watch the nWo try to take over the WCW. I want to watch Sting and Undertaker use mind games on their opponents. I want to watch Dolph Ziggler do headstands during matches. I love characters, and I love interactions between characters.

So the matches themselves are pre-determined (I will not call pro wrestling fake after what the business has done to Mick Foley's body, let alone most anyone who wrestled for CZW or ECW). They're planned out, with specific moves X at Y time. So what? The gunfights in movies are planned out, with cool thing X happening at Y time... why do we not make fun of people for liking action movies?

I'm not making fun of anybody for liking it (though I did call it "trash"), but I just find a lot of it comical. I realize the toll it takes on their bodies, but I just can't buy into the spectacle of it all.

but yet it is true though. Just like how you got people who make fun of other people for playing video games but yet they be the same ones playing Rock Band or Dance Central up in Best Buy or be playing Farmville on Facebook.

Speaking of ECW, I was a HUGE fan of them. Loved The Sandman, Sabu, RVD and the others. I use to always create them in the WWF wrestling video games.

Only thing I didn't like about ECW was that in Chicago, it didn't come on until Midnight.

On one hand, that's ridiculous. On the other, that dude's yard was ridiculous. It really was just a junkyard, which it isn't licensed to be. Therefore... he got fined and punishment and still did nothing about it. So they had to put him away, but it really didn't fix anything as now they're going to have to clean it up themselves.
