Current big almost $11,000 ....

There is NO PAIR OF SHOES worth that kind of money..

I'm guilty of paying $120 for a pair once, but that's the most I've ever given.

Only sneakers I would pay that much for are the Nike Mag aka the Back To The Future sneakers. I don't mind paying that much for a sneaker whose profits are going to charity.

I think $80 is the highest I've gone for footwear, only because my job at the time required steel toe boots.

I'll pay $200 for Jordans but that's it, I have yet to pay the but that's my personal limit for sneakers. I know it's a lot of money but the more I spend the better I take care of my shoes. Anything over $200 for a none Jordan shoe is too damned much IMO except if it's game worn, autographed, and authenticated.

No they think it will get them girls........ Guarantee before Monday, at least a dozen of them going to get robbed and be walking home in their socks as soon as they go somewhere by themselves wearing those shoes.

I've spent less than $300 on shoes in the past 15 YEARS.

How have you managed that? I need a new pair about every year.

Do you shop at PayLess shoes (not sure if that's national or just local). My parents always to buy me shoes from there when I was a kid, but the shoes tended to be cheap in quality as well as price and I needed a new pair every 2-3 months. Part of that may have been the fact that I had a bad tendency to turn my feet in when walking growing up and that tended to eat up the heels pretty fast. I remember this one time when I was at school (1st or 2nd grade) and the sole literally separated from the rest of the shoe. One of the teachers had to find some duct tape and and wrap it around my shoe (fortunately it was the front end) to hold it together until I got home.

EDIT: And now the bid is $20,300. I am at a loss for words for the utter ridiculousness of this so I'm going to bed.

Please.......I'm all about comfort now, give me a $40 pair of sketchers and I'm good to go. Haven't bought Jordans or any other type of basketball shoes in 15 years.

I finally broke down and stopped wearing my last go-to pair when my socks got wet when it rained. Those lasted 5 years. Those were actually a nice pair of brown Borns. The black pair of dress shoes I wear are from high school. Now that I think of it, I should have said past 10 years.
