Yeah, girls as close friends don't work. At all. They're pure evil. At least if yours is anything like mine is. In the past month we've probably spent more time arguing than not...total waste of time.

That's why you need more than one. Or just a better friend to start with.

Self-confidence comes from loving yourself, as cheesy and cliche as that sounds. If you're not proud of or happy with yourself it is going to show in some way or another. You have to have enough self-confidence or motivation to seriously not care what everybody around you thinks and do your own thing.

Also, Triple, girls can tell when you will take anything that gives ya a second glance. You have to be picky. Set some standards, make rules, and follow them. That also helps build the confidence up because its you saying no instead of them all the time. Plus, when a girl thinks that you're not interested it makes them try harder on their end. It is crazy. The more interest you show in them, the less work they put in.

I have two bank accounts. One is my primary account, where I eventually move all of my money to and the other is a Payroll account, where my checks have always went to from my last employer. I woke up to check it and it said $1.76 and I kept thinking, "Don't tell me these guys are messing with my money, just because I left"...

My advice on getting lucky with the ladies when you're in a slump:

Step one: get hammered

Step two: go to bar

Step three: see step one

Step four: ignore all chicks that you would consider hot

Step five: look for the below average to average women first.

The common mistake that guys make while trying to pick up women is going for the hot ones first. Then you spend all of your night getting the courage up to go talk to them only to have some other swinging **** swoop in at the last minute . once some other dude picks them up it's too late and by then all of the "scraps" are taken as well; so all that is left is you and thumbillina and her four sisters. So what you have to do is circumvent that by going after a slump buster at midnight rather than 2am.

Step six: take the ole gal back to you're place and show them a "good time".

Step seven: make sure to use protection on step six or you may end up with more than you bargained for

Step eight: send little easy e on her way. Take her number for in case you face hard times again. * no pun intended

Step nine: your self esteem should be higher now. When you go back out look to upgrade, but whatever you do make sure you lock it up early in the night.

Step ten: rinse and repeat

One last thing to note is don't try too hard. Girls can sense the desperation from a mile away. A sense of humor will take you a long way.

Pretty much this, enjoy being single and have some fun. Just be yourself, don't try too hard to make something happen and things will straighten out for ya.

Jeremy and mkoz probably with the best advice.

I've become good friends with this one chick up here (She's a huge Saints fan as well so we watched a few together, etc.) and that helped me with one of her friends for awhile when she heard how nice I was.

My advice:

Get girl friends. I attract less-than-attractive girls (I don't want to seem too mean) like it's my job, so by befriending them you can learn the female psyche without worrying about doing everything right to get some.

They usually also have attractive friends, and when those friends have heard that you're the sweetest guy ever, they want to find out for themselves what you're all about. Then you have a base with an attractive girl without needing the confidence to just walk up to her and start talking.

Just make sure the original friends don't think that you're after them. Being all but asked to prom by a girl who wasn't my type of girl (at all) will be one of my worst memories from high school.

I don't have too many unattractive female friends but I do have a lot of them and once I started bringing my girlfriend around my female friends, they all went out of their way to talk about how great I am and how lucky she was to have found me. Female friends are the best wingmen ever, despite what so many people around here say about men and women not being able to be friends.

Female friends are the best wingmen ever, despite what so many people around here say about men and women not being able to be friends.

Enjoy being single (if that's your thing) but sitting around and waiting for a girl to come up and say they want a relationship won't do anything but lead to one being single forever. You can only get away with doing that if you're rich and famous, some regular dude isn't going to get away with that.
