Have you already started looking for places to live out there? What all is left to prepare for the move other than actually packing and moving?

So, major delays, diverted buses, and three trains later, I'm finally at my desk!

In other news, a Supervisor has resigned, spots are open, promotion within reach? Hm...

Looking for a place, bank stuff, making sure my card/address is updated in everything, insurance (renters, etc), getting medical information. Stuff like that is what I'm thinking about.

                Seriously though, probably Software Engineering.
Is it possible to teach yourself to code? With everything being Internet-driven, I think it would be great to have that skill. I don't wanna pay tuition to learn it if I don't have to.

Yeah, it's possible to teach yourself how to write code. I think going to college/CC is a good idea to well-round your education with classes in operating systems, different languages/concepts, etc, but it is possible.

Here's a feature from Lifehacker discussing it: http://lifehacker.com/5401954/progra...lf-how-to-code

They also ran a "night school" for a week that may be helpful:

                      Re: Off Topic 2012

I just had to call in and cash in some PTO, at my somewhat new job.

My new boss was extremely cool about it. I talked to him about how my car has been having problems taking gas and we're thinking it's the fuel pump not functioning properly. So, my dad is picking one up on his way home from work and we're going to try fixing it today. He was extremely cool about it, though. If I had that sort of problem, with my last employer, they would have said, "Well, we'll try to find someone to come get you and your dad can work on it or something."

I really need to work, but I have a few PTO hours and I'll work longer shifts the next two days to make up for it.

I basically taught myself C++ last semester and HTML, some Javascript, and PHP last summer. My teacher for the class we had C++ in didn't really teach the class at all, so it was pretty much up to us to teach ourselves. The HTML, PHP stuff was part of an online class over the summer so that was pretty much teaching ourselves as well.

It's difficult, but I feel that if you have experience in learning a foreign language, you should have a slight advantage. It's basically learning a new written language so once you learn the rules it's not too difficult. It's learning the rules that takes time (much like a foreign language).

So, I'm 22 years old and never owned a Playboy Magazine, because there was always the internet when I was younger, so decided to buy one that featured Taryn Manning, just to say I have owned one (sounds stupid.. I know)

I slid it under the entertainment center and I'm re arranging things today. Apparently I had a mouse in my room and the bastard chewed the edges up. Is this karma for killing that snake, the other day ? I'm going to have to go have a heart to heart with my cat.

Also found a pack of black and milds I had, to take out to the bar next time I go and the damn thing ate half of them. He's probably got cancer now.

It's a never ending cycle of karma!

So I've decided that in order to get rid of my back pain, become a better basketball player, golfer, and all around better person I need to start doing Yoga. Anybody know of some good beginning Yoga DVD or anything?
                                Any advice?
