That's an interesting tidbit, as for the "black guy in Mexican gang" aspect it's no different really than a jewish guy playing a prominent Native Indian leader in a movie.

Man, I've never seen anything like it, in my life.

I used to work with the sales manager, for two years at Home Depot and one of my former bosses is the husband of a girl that works here. Everyone else is pretty cool, as well.

Just a friendly atmosphere. They'll treat us to lunch, occasionally and sometimes the company pays for it. We also have insurance agents come by occasionally and drop off a sandwich platter or chic fil a platter.

I think he did it as a homage to George Gervin.

Energy drinks actually help my anxiety, which is weird. I had klonopin for awhile and it just made me sleepy, didn't really do anything for anxiety.

Although, I'm also addicted to the greatest anxiety medicine of all time:

I'm the same way, energy drinks don't mess with the anxiety, I find stimulants even me out more then anything. Klonopin never did anything for me, not even sleepy. Now Xanax that's a little wonder drug right there, I take those and things get better.

Ativan is what worked for me. I was like a totally different person lol, and in a good way. But for whatever reason, my new doctor refused to prescribe it, even though I never abused it and had no history of pill abuse. She preferred to prescribe stuff over and over that didn't work, so eventually I just said screw it and stopped altogether.

I'm just glad I don't have to take medications. If you catch some people on a day they forgot or ran out, it's trouble. It's kinda scary. I'm lucky to be able to go without any help. Not that there's anything wrong with it, just thankful for myself.

I couldn't stand that...I tried Zoloft, Effexor, and a ton of other stuff but I just felt like a zombie each time. Never found anything that worked for me.

Hell, I won't even go to the doctor, because I know they'll find something wrong with me. I eat decently healthy, excercise almost daily...

I'm sure they would still find something wrong.

There are some meds I can go without for a few days and others that if I don't take daily then it's not good. Though those ones are also large doses so that doesn't help. I will say even though I hate seeing the rainbow of pills in my hand every morning and night, I feel like a totally different person and this is a good thing.

Might be a dumb question, but I'm about 90% sure I have a pinched nerve in my neck and/or back. Would I go to my family doctor about this or my chiropractor? My chiropractor doesn't think I have any problems, but I have constant neck and back pain with tingling and weakness in my left arm.

Imo, you should never, ever go to a chiropractor unless a doctor sends you there. See the doctor. It could be any number of things, and a chiropractor's methods may or may not help. But a doctor should be able to tell you exactly what is wrong and where to go from there.

In general I don't like how doctors are so quick to prescribe meds instead of working on alternative (natural) ways to fix the problem. A key example for me was a time I had gained weight due to a misdiagnosed thyroid disorder, lack of exercise, and poor eating habits. Doc said I needed to start taking blood pressure meds. I was 26, no way I'm gonna start taking blood pressure meds @ 26 unless it's something that will save my life. I've lost 40+ lbs since then, improved my diet, and no longer have a need for those pills. I wonder how many people would have taken the med because that's what the doc said to do, instead of realizing they had other options.
