Re: Off Topic 2012
Study hall ?? My high school got rid of that after my freshman year. I'm going to give a brief run down of what high school was like for me.
Freshmen year - First day of school, kid gets shot in the head point blank range at 7:40am right at the front door of the school. He was literally opening the door when he was shot.
Following week, metal detectors were installed in the school and EVERYBODY locker was torn apart, flipped upside down. Dozens of knives, handful of handguns, several gallon size zip lock bags full of illegal stuff was found, 1,200 beepers were confiscated, 83 people that day was arrested for either having a weapon or possession with the intent to distribute.
Through out the rest of freshman year it was 4 more shootings, 3 stabbings, 1 kid head busted open with a baseball bat in the middle of the hall and over all 30 gang fights that had no weapons just fists inside of that school.
Sophomore year - 2 shootings, just as many gang fights as the year before.
Junior year - High school was a fortress with 10 police officers in the school at all times. Therefore all the gang fights took place outside of the school. With a lot of them taking place on the subway train. And during the spring, it was a mega gang fight that took place downtown in the subway on State & Lake. Had to have been 100 people fighting at once in that tunnel that connects the Red Line with the Blue Line.
Senior year - It was a lot girl gang member fights. They were going buck wild. A lot of people dropped out of school that year too. And quite a few were sent to prison that year as well. Some of them are STILL in prison.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
On the topic of High School, my reunion is this summer. A friend of mine suggested that we make business cards with the "About You" part of facebook on it to avoid having 100 conversations about what you're doing now and all that crap.
Now he told me that our "Adult Night" at the local bar is from 4pm-6pm. He said we should show up in hoverounds.Chicago Bears
Oregon State Beavers
Portland Trail Blazers
San Francisco Giants
Chicago Blackhawks
MLS: Portland Timbers
EPL: Liverpool FCComment

Yeah, RU had a terrible rep for STD's along with the entire city of Danville, VA. I was surrounded.
Not sure how both stack now.EXPERIENCE MAYHEM FOOTBALLComment

Re: Off Topic 2012
Some days I use to get off on Belmont and hop on the Brown Line and ride it to Clark & Lake and switch over to the Green Line. Been a couple of decades, but back then anyway, the Brown Line was very clean and had working AC. Where as the Red, Green and Blue line were dirty and the AC didn't work half the time.Comment

Follow up on my Deodorant quandary from a while back.
Today I was in my usual ACME shopping market, going through and as I was passing by the Cosmetic/Home Care aisle I saw it. A single stick of Old Spice: Showtime scent.
How could this be? I thought it was discontinued after not seeing it for months. I checked it out, and it was properly sealed and unopened, but it was the only one on the shelves. Maybe they had one back in the Store room and forgot to put it out?
Regardless I snagged myself a new Deodorant today. Score.Minnesota Vikings
