Saw a car accident yesterday. Well, arrived very shortly after it happened (no police there, traffic was just backing up so I assume it just happened). Truck was flipped over... don't know how it possibly got that way considering how the road is at this particular stretch. I didn't see another car smashed up, either.

I just pulled over and called 911 (they actually didn't answer after a good amount of rings... they called back from a different number though and I reported it). There were a group of people out helping so I was on my way, as the EMT's would know what to do better than I. Quite possibly the driver of the overturned truck could have died or likely at least injured pretty badly. Kind of makes you confront your mortality. At least it does for me. Shook me up a bit.

Finally done with my GF's present. A pair of seashell earrings, a seashell necklace (that I've showed here a few times already), a sand dollar that I found in the ocean, and a tiny little stuffed animal tiger (her favorite animal). I done good.

I smell brownie? Brownie points? I actually tried to get my wife to give me a running total of my accumulated brownie points and my options for prizes. She just yelled at me and said this isn't chuck e cheese. Then I got sad. Cause I loved chuck e cheese.

When I grew up, it was always Shakey's. We didn't get a chuck e. cheeses until I was into double digits, as far as I remember.

I miss Shakey's buffet line. And games.
