A sub, hoagie, and hero are all different types of sandwiches. A hero is turkey, ham, and salami, and a hoagie is a sandwich on a hoagie roll. And a gyro (I've heard it pronounced three different ways, including "euro") isn't even close to those three. It's a type of pita with lamb and beef with tzikiti sauce.

But if you think a hoagie is called a hoagie because of the roll -- well, its safe to say you've never eaten a hoagie in the South Jersey/Philly area.#WashedGamerComment

Re: Off Topic 2012
Did absolutely nothing on my day off today. All I did was listen to music, surf the internet, and play Lego Batman 2. Going to blame my lack of productivity on the rain.
Anyone happen to catch Mike Tyson on PTI today? I couldn't stop laughing when he said he knows Mike Wilbon enjoys a good venereal disease story. He was on there to promote his Broadway show. Hopefully he release the show on DVD later on down the road. Definitely something I'd be interested in seeing.Comment

I've found you get a slightly better crowd if you catch the AM matinee shows. Cheaper as well. My wife and I do it all the time for movies we want to see. 11 Am showings @ 6 a ticket.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Nah man completely different, but I guess you can consider them both sandwiches.
And I pronounce them G-eye-rohs. I can't imagine any other pronunciation. Gyros are hit or miss with me. One spot can have what in my mind I'm ready for and have loved in the past. Then I can go to another restaurant and order the same thing and get a completely different thing all together. Its so bad now I just avoid getting them.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII
