Well here we go, another holiday where I have to hug a bunch of family when we get to the party. It wouldnt be so awkward if they weren't so short. I find myself hugging a bunch of heads at these things. Its refreshing when someones head is higher than my chest.

Can't wait to field those "Oh my look how tall you've gotten" comments... At least there will be free food!

I agree. We had our huge cookout last weekend.

I'm going to ride out to my uncle's house and eat and then head to the lake house.

I'm on antidepressants after officially being diagnosed with moderate depression that dates back to when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I've been in a severe episode ever since around March and I'm finally coming out of it with the help of Lexapro that I've been taking for a couple weeks.

A big step that I need to take is to detatch myself from things that propelled me into this episode and I'm struggling to do that. You guys probably know what things (or people I should say) were the cause of it, but I'm really having a hard time to completely let go.

The movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall (should say "Heather Marshall because that's what her name is) definitely points me in the right direction but that feeling ends when the movie ends and I go back to not being able to let go. Any tips guys? Surely some of you know what I'm going through

Anyways, to Dog, keep your head up brotha. Life and life events can be extremely ****ty sometimes. It's a matter of keeping your spirits up as much as possible, and keep pushing no matter what. Stay positive and do positive things/activities. Maybe help out some people who have it worse than you?

I've been in that dark place before, and still get there from time to time, that's just the way **** goes sometimes. But it's just about staying as positive as possible.

You're either entering a storm, in a storm, or exiting a storm. Navigate it as best as you can.

You have to find a new girl. Have you dated anyone since her? You can't fully get over someone until you meet someone new.

How do you expect to have those feelings you have for your ex to be replaced by feelings for someone else, if you don't meet someone else? I was tore up about my ex last year until I met my current girlfriend(for those wondering, we had a long talk yesterday and worked things out). Within a couple of weeks I had zero feelings for my ex and was falling for my current girlfriend.

Things ended with Heather for a reason and that reason is that girl you haven't met yet. Go out there and meet her.

If I've just got 2 pockets, the only thing I have to carry is my phone and my keys.
