I never liked it before either, but the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp is amazing.

Before they added that to their menu, I'd literally only go there for mozzerella sticks.

Oh I know. For other stuff they're awesome and cheap too. Not disputing that. Even their ribs are pretty good. But still, you live in the South, the WORST ribs place down there has to be like 10x better than Chili's.

      I can't do Applebee's though. Disgusting.

I pretty much like every restaurant chain.

I'm angry at TGIF though for changing the menu and getting rid of the cheesy bacon cheeseburger (featuring a slab of fried provolone )

I usually go to whichever place is currently under happy hour.

My god, it's all ready hot outside.. grilling chicken is brutal.

I'm in and out of the door constantly.

Also trying to cook home made mashed potatoes, corn, and green beans at the same time... I'm working harder than I do at work.

I would think a single white male would rarely eat in. That's the way it is with a lot of my friends.

I'm with you though, I eat at a restaurant maybe once or twice a week.

I can think of a few kick *** bbq joints that are better and are all privately owned and operated..

There's a place back near my hometown that doesn't look like a good place to eat at all, but the bbq that comes out of there and the ribs are phenomenal.

Nope. Cobb salad with everything that comes on it with balsamic vinaigrette x2. I think their chips and queso is okay, but we usually don't eat half the chips because they are especially soggy.

I guess as far as chain resturants go - Outback would be my favorite .

You need to hit up Bob Sykes BBQ there in Bessemer. Then again, I haven't had it since I lived in B'ham when I was 20. Everything tasted good when I was 20.

I'll have to ask my dad where it is. He's worked in Bessemer for the past 20 years, so he knows the Bessemer and Hueytown area really well.

Leftovers? What are leftovers? Seriously, I couldn't tell you the last time I had leftovers at a restaurant as I always clean my plate, even at Hibachi places. I'm always the only one without leftovers when at Hibachi places. The only time I don't finish everything is when I have some sort of alfredo pasta and the sauce fills me up to fast, but I don't take that home as it isn't very good reheated.

Applebee's is awesome. I love their salads and usually get either the chicken broccoli pasta alfredo or the smothered chicken as an entree. Among my group of friends in college, it was one of our favorite places to go.

Sounds like one of my friends from college. He would always be going to Applebees late at night just for mozzerella sticks. Actually, it may have actually been Perkins that he went to.

Its a money thing to me. It costs a hell of a lot less to buy groceries a couple times a month. Not to mention I can cook up some pretty good meals myself.

Hell Yeah. For years in my area there were only conventional gorcery stores so food choices were always the same. Steak, salmon, chicken, brats type meats. Now that we have a Wegmans, Whole Foods and Harris Teeter my home cook has blown the **** up. Gonna do a goose for Thanksgiving this year, had quail earlier, duck breast, bought a whole halibut the other day, I am eating more lamb than cow these days. I have a buddy who is on the Paleo diet, and has shown me a thing or two. (www.thedomesticman.com) We only eat out now when we are too lazy to cook and there are no leftovers, even then we don't go chain anymore. Small, specialty spots. I can't remember the last time I was at a chain restaurant. Still hit up McDonalds, because drinks are $1.
