It's ok, but as I've watched it time & again over the years it just doesn't hold up for me. Some parts are hilarious, yes. But for the lost part a lot of the things I found once funny, now they seem lame.

I'm not saying it is horrible, there are some classic lines in that movie. But a lot of the schtick haha stuff is really dated.

There are old "classic" comedy's that hold up for me over time and don't feel dated, caddyshack unfortunatley isn't one of them.

I'm sure I am in the minority with that but whatever, just my opinion.

You have to put yourself in the mindset of old comedy, similar to watching old Looney Toons cartoons.

^ I don't know about that. I can watch Looney Tunes stuff all day, but old comedies don't really hold up for me. Building on that, there's not many movies that I rewatch anyway unless I really like it. My Blu-ray/dvd movie collection is quite small. Less than ten.

Regarding the conversation about old comedy. I think l3ulvl hit the nail on the head in that you have to be in the right frame of mind for the comedy to work. Of course most of the old comedy I watch is from the '30s and '40s and while the humor doesn't exactly hit me I can look at what they do and say "oh I can see how that's funny."

The best kind of older comedy that holds up over time are comedies of circumstance/strange situations or ones with a lot of slapstick to them. Some of the more nuanced stuff that utilizes wordplay or a knowledge of topical humor often falls flat but at least one can appreciate the funny bits even if you're not laughing over them.

Caddyshack is a pretty good movie in that the humor is timeless and has to do with something that every guy no matter how old they are have dabbled in at some point (golf) and the characters are certainly larger than life. Granted I haven't seen the movie in a while but from what I remember it was quite funny.

I used to play the hell out of that game split screen with my son. Hell of a game, can't wait for 2.

GOTY edition for $20, can't beat that.

A long time ago me and a buddy were looking for a good co-op game to play online, and saw this game called Borderlands on PSN for $15. Knew nothing about it and decided to give it a try.

Best decision ever. I've easily put 150 hours into it. Can't wait for the second one to drop.

I hear ya. I'm done over there, I got all the info I needed. I'm a franchise guy so things sound good to me. If you have a question i might be able to answer. Also if you're on twitter try asking someone like Shopmaster, he usually answers back quickly if he can.

I just replaced my rear brake pads, on my car. I did my front a few weeks ago and they were no problem at all, but my rear calipers were a pain in the ***. I couldn't take C-clamp and compress the caliper in order to get them back on over the pads. I ended up having to bleed the brake lines a little, to relieve pressure in order to get them back in.

45 mins later, hands covered in grease and brake fluid, the job is done!

I could let someone else do it, but why pay for it when I can do it myself ? I guess I take after my dad with that. We work on our own vehicles. It also may be a cultural thing, too. Most of my friends are mechanically inclined. I helped a friend rebuild his engine on his motorcycle, last night... I love learning something new.

Reminds me of my roommate freshman year. He insisted on having the windows open every night when he was sleeping even during the winter when the lows were 10 degrees or colder. I'd be freezing my butt off every morning getting ready for class.

Yeah, neither did mine. I guess AC in the dorms is just an unnecessary expense for a lot of northern colleges and universities since it will be cold for the bulk of the time they are actually occupied.
