Is that your yard... or your parents' yard?

I guess I take pride in a well-kept yard because I've seen what others look like that are neglected. I see no point in having something if you aren't going to take care of it and just let it go to waste.

            Spot-on.

The house on one side of me is a rental, no care for the yard whatsoever. It is literally 1% grass, the rest is a horrid looking conglomeration of various weeds. It's bad enough that the yard looks like it came straight out of a trailer park (with bits of garbage here and there as well), but it makes it damn near impossible to keep that side of my yard weed free.

Their complete disregard doesn't just effect them, it has trickle down effects on those around them. My property value and sell-ability suffers, on top of having to see that **** infested dump every day.

A little common courtesy and a bit of self respect can go a long way.

It's my parent's, sure. Although all the mowing and other **** I do on it, you'd think I'd take some semblance of pride, but I don't.

That said, yards do nothing for me. I don't want one. I don't care enough to keep it up. Green grass, brown grass, dirt, I don't really give a ****. It doesn't matter to me. At all.

I won't even litter out on the lake.

When we're out wakeboarding and I see someone toss a beer can or a cup, I always say something.

I did lose the only visor I ever owned and liked, on the lake... damn thing didn't even float.

                              I don't have a front yard. Or a backyard.

Too bad, considering I'd love to tell people to get off my lawn.

I personally try not to litter (every now and then I might if I'm in the process of a long walk and have absolutely nowhere to put a wrapper or whatever), but this whole holier than thou attitude that some of you have just because one person decides to be honest is pretty overboard IMO.

You'd almost think Dayman admitted to killing someone. Not that I would put that past him. Hell, judging from his posts he'd be too lazy to hide the body.
