    Difficult decisions

It seems I'm often dealt situations where I have to make a difficult decision on the fly. I know my line of work has a lot to do with it but it is very mentally draining. Luckily my personal life is relatively stress free.

I know its vague but this could relate to anything in your life and at any time in your life. I ask you what was your most difficult decision you made? Do you regret it now? Would you have made the same decision based on the outcome?

      Re: Difficult decisions

Deciding to leave my daughters mother. My family weren't all that supportive of the decision to leave. A part of me felt guilty leaving her too. At the time I had some really big doubts about if I had done the right thing. Fast forward to today and it was the best decision for all three of us.

We both spend equal time with our daughter. She knows she is loved by the both us. We get along better now than we ever did in the past. She's currently in a serious relationship with a really nice guy. I've had the pleasure of being able to date multiple women since our break up. Tonight I'm taking out someone new I just met. She has the serious relationship she always wanted and I get to live the bachelor life that fits me at this time.

In the end it worked out best for everyone involved.

        Re: Difficult decisions

I would say my most difficult decision was one I just made last week. My wife and I were offered jobs with the same organization, but it meant moving our family (2 young sons) across the country and drastically altering our lifestyle. (due to the demands of the job)
On the other hand, the offer was very good for us- both financially and professionally. We wrestled with the decision for nearly 3 weeks before finally declining the offer last week.
It hasn't been long enough to know whether I "regret" it or not, but I am definitely questioning myself. Ultimately, I just have to move on and assume it was the right decision. Otherwise I'll go crazy playing "what if" in my head.
