    Rest ice compression elevation.

But since its crack, pop it sounds like a tendon 'specially since its when you flex.

**** man, I don't want knee problems. The only good news (I guess) is that it's not in constant pain, just when I move it....

gonna hit a Vicodin and go to bed, hit the doc in the morning. Wish me luck
Well, I don't think the Dr. will be very apprciative of you hitting him.

Seriously though, that sucks. Hopefully it isn't too serious.

            Good luck man.

In situations like this they always say, "hope for the best, but prepare for the worst"

Hopefully, you'll be back on the court soon.

I thought this was related to the Craps Table thread. I'm an idiot.

Good luck with your doctor visit tomorrow. Knee problems suck.

Good luck with the knee. Surgery sucks but recovery happens eventually. Hopefully you won't have anything requiring that.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Well, it's the meniscus....requires surgery of course.

That stinks, but at least it wasn't a ligament. Guessing they'll use the scope?

I had something similar happen, the doctors thought it was a meniscus tear, but I tore knee cartilage out and it was just swimming around in my knee. They just scoped it out. It took about 4 weeks until I was playing competitive basketball again.

                          Good luck 24.

Wow dude, that's awful. I've got a bum knee myself, have had it for a while but only recently have thought about getting it checked and fixed (not in the best position to pay for it, though I do have good insurance, or be out of work for however long it takes).

                            Good luck.

You are one lucky man..I had the same kind of incident years back..Went up for a layup came down knee buckled and hyperextended and had to be carried out of the gym..Unfortunately it was a torn acl, torn meniscus and a fracture of the tibia..had surgery 3 weeks later and took years to recover even with nonstop working out and rehab..Meniscus will keep you out about 6 weeks tops..good luck man!!

Well, I prematurely made that post about the meniscus based off a educated guess from doc....

                                Got my actual MRI results...

Torn meniscus, ACL, bone bruise, and micro fracture surgery is needed

                                FML. Bball career: DONE.
