Glad the surgery went well, hope he has a speedy recovery.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I'm glad to hear things went well... I was worried something may have happened. :/

Hopefully you and your family can rest a little easier now, and you can get back to not worrying so much.

I wish nothing but the best.

My dad had this same procedure done in November. Everything went smooth, but he kept going into a-fib frequently. He is just now released to go back to work, but the procedure went well and the doctors said his heart is real strong. Hope your father has smooth transition and prayers to you and your family.

I'm just in total shock now, just can't believe it. My Mom is a total wreck, even though the Doctor says they do these all the time, but man I just don't know right now.

              Just numb.
I might be late and I haven't read any of the replies, but I was just in a very similar situation with my dad. He pulled through, miraculously. I will be praying for you and your family, as well as your dad. My mom was also a wreck but despite what I felt, I had to be a positive influence for her and the rest of my family.

It is a shock and puts things in perspective... But I was amazed at what doctors can do with the medical advances that we have had.

              Stay strong.

Glad to read that everything went well, bro.

It's amazing what our dads mean to us... I was a wreck when he nearly died (and probably should have). His recovery is going well but extensive damage has been done. Now, we just wait to see how much his heart will heal itself.

                Wishing for a speedy recovery.
