    Got engaged last night!

    Today marks us dating for 2 years and we are going out to a nice dinner at The Faithful Pilot in LeClaire, IA. I was going to propose tonight but I figured she was on to that so I did it a day earlier. I spoke with her Dad Saturday night and got his blessing. This past weekend we did things that we did when we first met. Went to a River Bandits baseball game Saturday (1st real date), when to a movie on Sunday (2nd date), and then ate at Panchero's where we had our 1st lunch date. She didn't catch onto that and last night at 6 I took her to a spot that overlooks the Mississippi River where we used to go and talk. That's where we decided to move in together so I ended up proposing there.

    Tonight will now be a our 2 year anniversery dinner as well as a celebration dinner. Sorry for the post but I'm pretty damn happy right now

      Me and my girl will make 2 years on the 23rd of this month, but engagement and marriage are still years away!

          Congrats! Our 2 years together was May 1st, and we got engaged almost 2 months ago...

          Now get ready for all the wedding planning lol Even tougher because my fiancee's parents are horrible with money and will barely help pay for anything...oh well, that's why i got a degree in a marketable field lol

              I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
