Yes, it's EA who is abhorrent for making products that people want to buy.

IMO, this really doesn't deserve a thread in the forums; it's rather blatant and exaggerated EA bashing, and it's not really even that funny.

It's not bashing EA at all. It can be said of many larger game publishers. The bigger you get, the harder it is to continuously improve upon what you make. EA excels in some areas, but they are so profit driven from the top that it's extremely difficult to generate quality in all areas.

Greed is a big motivator in business. It's not just the execs either. Employees will cave to the tactics of corporate leadership if it means they themselves will profit from it. At the same time, an employee that NEEDS a job won't walk away from an unhealthy work environment. But greed creates that work environment.

The strong desire to generate income produces all sorts of unpleasant things.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

I think this is an issue with gaming in general, now that a lot of games are the "AAA" type games that cost millions and millions to make. You're not going to get that "indie" feel with a game that costs that much to make and must have huge sales in order to even be profitable. Look at 38 Studios, Curt Schilling was running based on a love of games and ran that place into the ground (They let the money cause them to grow too fast and couldn't sustain it). At some point you need corporate leadership to make sure you don't lose tons of money.

I'm impressed with the creator's ability to put so many text-based cliches and platitudes into visual format. However, we prefer to keep the discussion focused on gaming, not business practices.
