Any OSers live in or near Seattle?

Heading out to Seattle tomorrow afternoon on a road trip with the family.

I figured I could get better info from OSers that live out that way that's better than anything I could Google.

Any good suggestions?

Places to go, things to see, any "must see" or "must do"'s while we're out there?

I've been out that way before but never to Seattle specifically. We're going to be out there for only one week.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't live their but see if you could catch a Mariners game. Very nice atmosphere at the ballpark their.

Space Needle, Pike Place Market and Safeco Field are all must-see for first-timers. I have family out in Seattle, actually was up there a few months ago and caught a Ms game with two other OSers.

I was out in Seattle a few years ago. Just my opinion but I would not waste the $19 to go up in the Space Needle. I did not think there was anything special about it. We ate at the Crap Pot and enjoyed really enjoyed it.

Went to Seattle last month. We enjoyed the Mariners game, Space Needle and surrounding area. Pike Place is nice too. You can also see the spot where Frasier's window is supposedly based on. It's a really nice view.

Things I'd suggest:

• Safeco Field (Mariners). If you love baseball, you owe it to yourself to see a game here. It's a beautiful stadium and the ballpark has a great atmosphere. Don't forget the Garlic Fries. You can thank me later for that one.
• Pike Place Market. A lot to do here and it's just a cool place to check out.
• Space Needle... I realize it's not the coolest thing to do, but if you're in Seattle visiting, you should check it out at least once. You might love it, you might not. It makes one full rotation around Seattle every hour so you get the best view of the city that you can get.
• Ride the Ducks. This is one I may catch crap over, but my wife and I liked it a lot. Mindless fun and it burns a bit of time. The drivers are obnoxious, but funny. You see some pretty cool parts of Seattle on this tour.

Everything Apostle suggested is solid. Here are a few places to eat:

Red Mill (awesome burgers)
Paseo (amazing Cuban sandwiches)
Tat's Deli (amazing pastrami sandwiches)
Crab Pot (a whole mess of fresh seafood gets dumped on the table in front of you. And you get a bib to prepare lol)
Daniel's Broiler (great steaks, but it's on the pricey side)
Elliott's Oyster House (you guessed it...awesome oysters)
Geraldine's Counter (solid breakfast spot)
Beth's Cafe (home of the 12 egg omelette)

just a few of my favorite spots. Might think of more later
