Crap. I saw one in my bathroom this weekend. In about 20 months I've seen two or three. But this one freaked me out pretty bad for whatever reason. Gave the apt. a good cleaning but think I'm going to have to pick up some of that spray for peace of mind

Anyways on a serious note. You can try to buy spray and do it yourself but I much prefer someone come and crawl around in the dark areas and spread for me.

The professionals will be able to diagnose what roach species it is and the best way to get rid of them.

When I had the spider issue I was using standard ortho spray that was for spiders. Well when Orkin came out I was told that spray might kill them but its better to use a dust. I didn't ask question but knock on wood haven't seen one all summer so far.

so pest control did their thing and now i'm seeing more roaches out and about - should I be concerned or is this the pesticide doing its job and I can expect them dead in a day or so?

You pissed them off now. They called their friends and said we going to show this dude what's up and who runs this apartment.

Apparently those guys didn't use strong enough poison. Because strong enough poison would kill them in a manner of minutes, not hours or days.

well after that i freaked, left and when i got back i saw one half dead on its back. no sign of the others. hopefully this is working

Usually after a professional comes in they move for up to 3 day which is good because they take the poison back to where the problem is.

Your professional should have told you that for three days you will see increased activity. When they came out for my spider problem I saw a bunch for three days and then after that knock on wood haven't seen one since.

Ah ok that makes sense since the'd try to flea the poison. I did see 4 in one day the day after they sprayed, 2 in day 2, and one each up until now. As far as I can tell all that i have seen are now dead from whatever he used. I think it was borax as all of them have died in the bathroom as if they're dehydrated and were trying to run to water. I wasn't told anything because pest control is separate from maintenance at the building and you can only contact pest control through maintenance. Combine that with my being gone a lot and i didn't see the guy and had to contact maintenance to confirm that he showed
