What's said is people will probably blame this on videogames, when that had NOTHING to do with Xbox Live outside of that being where the conversation started.Comment

Re: Xbox Chat Leads To Violent Attack
People sit strongly behind their network connections all of the time. Not that I truly want to do it, but I would love to see the look on someone's face if they felt they could ridicule me through, say, a YouTube comment, and I could track them down, go "Bane assault" on their homes, and let them stare nervously wide-eyed as I show them a lesson of not thinking they're ever safe behind their tantalizing words.
They always think they're so tough. I just wish they could talk like they knew what could come to them.
I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often, strangely enough.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Xbox Chat Leads To Violent Attack
I will say this, when people can hide behind anonymity on the internet a large amount will act tougher than they really are. It is the draw back of people knowing they don't have to face repercussions for their actions or words.
Stab a guy or shoot him I completely disagree with. Now with that said, I think far more should get their little butts whipped in a good ol fashion fist fight. Maybe the generation brought up knowing nothing other than hiding behind the internet could be brought down a peg or two.
Back when I was younger and the online environment was just getting started you had to deal with more altercations with your own sweat and fists. Hiding behind the internet is a new age thing, that this new generation know nothing else.Last edited by Phobia; 08-01-2012, 03:34 PM.Comment

"Bro, if want to do this, come over to my house and we’ll do this right now,"
I hear this all the time when playing online.
Now what, Kemp?Comment

"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
