When in doubt, take former Vegas mayor and Mob lawyer Oscar Goodman's advice:

Re: Dealing with Vandals
Public flogging is in order.
We are too lax in this current society, and it bred entitled babies.
I don't remember there being school shootings/vandalism when you were allowed to Tupperware/Hot Wheels track the butts of your children.

Re: Dealing with Vandals
i never used to keep it on constantly at nite, but now i am.
it only used to go on after the sensor was tripped. But sun nite someone tried to get in our house. Monday i noticed 2 screens were popped out. luckily i lock all windows, but its still scary.
the screen on the deck was the one i noticed on monday first. went on the deck and saw muddy footprints around the window.
cop said it looks as though they drove to the far right of the house, then went around the far left avoiding the driveway as to not set off the light sensor.
i am now leaving the front light and side light on throughout the nite.
as for the deer camera. i do have one, and i did have it set up in my yard, but it was to catch a pic of moose and bear.
wouldnt these guys just take th camera when they saw the flash go off. i dont think that idea would fly.
any tips on where i could place the camera where they couldnt get it when they see a flash go off?Comment

Re: Dealing with Vandals
A person sees a flash go off, they going to haul butt and run. Your average criminal isn't going to go searching for the source of the flash in the freaking dark. Too high of a risk in being caught trying to locate it.
Criminals want to be in and out as fast as possible, with the least amount of risk to them. Looking for a camera is too high risk.Comment

funny thing is, i had that thing set up from april to sept to catch a pic of the bear that was trying to get in the chicken coop.
Figures i take it down, and the next month this happens. Wouldve had a good pic of him because according to the officer he went around the back of the house which is right in the path of the coop.Comment
