Tarheel dominated this thread from the moment "didn't work out like Zack and Cody did it" was uttered.
Also, I think it's the case of when you start from the bottom. See, my first girl rejection was I think...10. Yeah, freakin 10. Since then, I've had a lot of times to realize "it's not all that bad to get rejected." Since then, I've been rejected more times than I can count, but it's not a bad thing at all.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Let's talk about...The Dreaded Friend Zone
My initial rejections was around that age, too... I was much slicker with the pen and paper than my mouthpiece, and that wasn't going to work. The broads I was trying to deal with at that age were far too dumb to appreciate the literary stylings I was trying to bestow upon them. I was like a modern-day hood version of Cyrano de Bergerac. So I was going to have to tighten up my verbal game in order to have any success.
Upon effectively letting the female know your intentions, that will effectively prevent you from entering the perceived "friend zone". I must admit at how shocked I was at finding out how easy it was to bypass all that simply by keeping it 100 and letting the female know from jump what your intentions are. She may find it rude, but the trick is to do it in a disarming way, so that you seem like you're playing and yet dead serious at the same time.Comment

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
