    ****ing Vandals!

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1348903668.615380.jpg

So I walk outside the other morning and look what I was greeted by.

And if that wasn't enough the ****er or ****ers tried using the door first and yanked so much they broke the mechanism so my door is stuck shut.

After speaking with the Police and talking to the mechanic I have to order a whole new door. Costs me around $350 bucks. Had to place a towel or two on the seat and drive on glass to the near by car wash to use their vacuum to clean out the glass.

This happened to me in my parking lot a couple years ago. What a pleasant surprise on that Monday morning. They smashed my passenger side window and tried to get my radio. There's still a crowbar mark on my dash. The guy hit the emergency flashers and scared himself off. Missed my radio, an iPod in the glove box, and golf clubs behind the back seat. Idiot.

Fortunately all he took out was the window, and I have full glass coverage. Didn't cost me anything to fix.

Yeah I can only afford liability.....

Also what I think he seen through my window is my AUX cable coming out of my head unit and thought I had a nice one. However little did he know I have the stock head unit from 1988 that has a cassette player that I rewired with a Aux cord to play my iPod. That or it was some kids being asses and thought it bd "cool" to destroy property.

I didnt have anything else in the car at all, hell all my change was still in my change holder.

God I wish I could afford a camera with night vision that I could set up at our window looking down at our cars.

Something similar happened to a friend of mine, his back window was broken, and nothing was missing. Just pointless destruction of private property.

It makes me thankful I'm able to afford a place with a garage.

Why wouldn't you be locking it in the first place?

I never had problems with my car being broken into while im home. Plus I have nothing in my car to steal at all. Maybe they could hot wire the car and such but there are other, nicer cars in the drive way that I would think they steal besides mine.

sorry to hear about your situation but i can definitely understand where your coming from. I leased a Lexus LS about 3 months ago, I had it for about 2 weeks and I woke up one morning to find the entire back windshield busted. I had nothing of value in the car so they didn't steal anything (surprised they didn't steal the car itself). It's just sucks that some people do these things in life.

I rarely ever lock my car doors at home.

There have been instances where I have even left the windows down over night and my wallet be laying in the front seat.

I have never given it much thought, considering we are one of two houses on the road that I live on. If I lived in a more populated area or had closer neighbors, I would never leave them down.

This does suck though, I never understood why people do **** like this other than money for the "D word" or just to be *******s.

                          Re: ****ing Vandals!

My street feels like such a safe haven, especially when my driveway backs out of sight at the back corner of street that turns and dead-ends as a cul de sac. I still lock my car doors unless there's a reason I shouldn't (can't think of one at the moment).

My friend got her car broken into when she parked on a street next to AT&T Park when we were at the Giants game. Strangely, she foresaw this happening. I can't fathom seeing that happen with the streets being so public/crowded, but I guess things just happen.

Sorry this happened to you, bud. Again, I can't imagine my car being broken into, unless something is clear-as-day visible in it like my Vita. I have a Honda Civic with no car alarm, so I feel it's bound to happen to me.

Damn I hope karma catches up to the scumbags that did that.

I've been fortunate and have only had my car broken into once. It was when I was 16 and the one night I left my car unlocked someone broke into it. The funny thing is the only thing that was missing?...condoms that were in my glove compartment.

In the apartment complex I live in now there has been a couple of cars broken into. My wife and I always lock our vehicles and never keep any valuables inside them.

Where I live at now, crime is so low nobody locks car doors here, house doors or put their top up on their convertible.

So I guess his town use to be like that too but now it is starting to turn bad.
