Help my understand Paypal

Hey all, i have a buyer wanted to buy my 69 Chevelle, and he sent me and extra 1,500 Dollars to pay for the shipping of the car, i got a ton of emails from Paypal telling me they got the funds and that there holding it, until i take it to a Western Union agent, i've never dealt with the kind of stuff, so is there anyway i can get screwed on this one?

Ebay and Paypal both have confirmed he sent the payment.

I'll let others chime in, I wouldn't do anything unless there is literally cash in hand and verified. Something just isn't adding up.

Definitely sounds like a scam, happened to me once when I was trying to help a friend sell his Xbox, I had a buyer he wanted to pay through PayPal and then paypal sent me similiar messages about holding funds until I shipped, then the guy starts mentioning shipping to Nigeria( give away) and then he accused me of trying to rip him off I was then investigated by the PayPal "FBI"

I know with modeling scams, when the person sends more than the amount agreed upon(so if the shoot pays 1000$ and s\he sends 1500$) no matter the reason, then more than likely it's a scam.

And that's with everything from using western union and the buyer's personal bank account.

I would approach this with extreme caution.

How'd that investigation go hah? Yeah i thought it was a scam, but both Ebay, and Paypal confirmed it so i dont know.

"Thanks for your mail,I was just about to make the payments when i had this little problem with the picking up of the vehicle , I am buying this vehicle for my dad while i was trying to schedule a pick-up with the agent, i was told to pay upfront before they can make the booking, and they only accept Western Union Money Transfer as their payment method which they don't accept PayPal or Bank Transfer and i tried to send the money online but i couldn't as am having some difficulties with it because i am currently in Australia for a business trip."

In my case, they also made an excuse about being in some odd location
