Going from intern to full time

I am currently interning for a company and I graduate in December which is when the internship ends as well. How should I bring up my status going to a full time employee? I already work 40 hours a week for them(I actually make more then most of the contractors who I work with) so I might as well be a full time employee already. I am fairly confident they will bring be me on full time since they are planning on hiring more contractors.

I was just in this situation. I interned at my firm from Jan '11 'till no set time really..I graduated in May '11 and have been here FT since.

What I did was start speaking to the person I'm directly working with. Basically ask about the possibility and make it known I would love to be there FT. I lucked out and had the boss take me into the office in April and break it down for me.
