Just looking back to my own 13 year old self, if I would have had a school issued iPad back in the day and stumbled across a topless picture of the teacher I definitely would not have been raising my hand and telling her I would have shown everyone else around me.

This is definitely the teachers fault and expecting a teenager not to have that reaction is a little unreasonable, that is what you call hitting the jackpot as a 13 year old, especially if the teacher is hot and to be punished for coming across such a great discovery is not fair.

I'll add I would probably have emailed it to myself first things first so I could study it in greater detail once I got home.

Exactly. Maybe I would keep it to myself and not show others, I don't know. The one thing I wouldn't do is show the teacher.

1) I feel like I would still "get in trouble" somehow. I don't know, that's just how I would feel.

2) It would lead to some awkwardness. Just like there are times when I'm sitting with a female friend and they accidentally rip a large one humiliatingly, and I pretend like I didn't hear it. I don't see why I need to address the fact I heard it and just made things worse. (of course, many people here probably don't care about ripping one in front of others)

Yeah who I told would probably depend who I was sitting by, if it was any of my friends at all I would have absolutely showed them, anyone else then maybe I keep it to myself but I fully agree with you.

Most school districts are making a push to put technology in the hands of the students. Obviously, higher income school districts have already been doing this---every kid having a laptop.

Our school district, which is rural and most kids on free or reduced lunch, is looking to do the ipad thing in 2 years. All teachers are getting a smart board in their room by January.

As for the story:

Only possible way I can see the teacher not being in any trouble is if she was using her personal ipad. If it was school issued, she should have been in MORE trouble than the kids.

Maybe they made a spectacle out of the whole thing. Think "Kevin Hart cussing out the teacher" big. That might warrant suspension.

We aren't getting the whole story.

Kids probably found the pics surfing on the ipad (teacher's fault) then they probably passed it around class while trying to keep a lid on the secret. Word got out, teacher finds out and reports them, hence they get in trouble, she becomes the secondary issue.

I could totally see that scenario. If the kids found it and immediately reported it, they would be fine, but we know thinking clearly isnt a middle schooler's specialty.

That's exactly what makes this all the more ridiculous, you can't punish a 13 year old for being a 13 year old, it isn't his/their fault their teacher is an idiot, if you sync your nudes onto you middle school classes iPads punishing them for looking at them isn't really fair.

Now say the teacher had her iPad laying on her desk and she stepped out for a minute and a kid goes on there and finds them that's different, in this case though I fail to see why boys being boys should be punished for their teachers idiocy.

If the school system can afford iPads for all their students I would say its doing pretty damn well for itself.

The public school system may not be perfect, but its the only option for many kids. I was on reduced lunches during elementary school and while we weren't poor or strapped in middle school or high-school there's no way we could have afforded anything else. Dafly this is not directed at you, but people love to jump on schools and teachers for lack of control, discipline, and structure until its actually in place and those same people will bitch because their parental rights are being imposed on.

I hear it a lot during the week from my boss. I'm not sure why he dislikes teachers so much, but considering how much more time they spend with kids than some parents do, you would think more parents would be involved and wanting to improve and build upon the system rather than trying to cut it down every chance they get.

The parents in that fantasy sex league story is a prime example.
