      Busy being different.

The data collection methodology for the offense of forcible rape used by Chicago, Illinois does not comply with national UCR Program guidelines. Consequently, its figures for forcible rape and violent crime (of which forcible rape is a part) are not published in this table.

Looks like NO had 792 violent crimes per 100,000. Still a ton, but not all that close to the top 25.

No Chester, PA? Mildly surprised. I guess it's not big enough. Might as well be an extension of Philly I guess

This is what is listed for Chester.

The FBI determined that the agency's data were overreported. Consequently, those data are not included in this table.

Chicago's murder rate is not as high as the rate in some other cities. It just happens to have a high murder rate coupled with a very large population (3rd in the US), so the homicide totals are deceptively alarming.

Seriously, you have nothing to worry about if all you're doing is using the airport.

Yeah.....except exiting Newark Airport last year after going to Cali with the wife....I got a flat tire and had to get off the Turnpike to change it.
                              It was night...

I've worked in and been to some of the nastiest places in N.Y.C. "The Bush"(Bushwick....Bed Stuy(before it became yuppy heaven) and others.
I'm not ashamed to say...I was hammering away in my chest as changed the tire. I told my wife...if anyone comes near or something happens...drive right off the jack and just keep going.
Two police officers rolled up and just waited for me to finish...then escorted us back to the highway. They were kind of joking about how lucky we were and we should have just rode on the rim.

Newark East Orange and Patterson blow.(sorry for anyone in those areas...not trying to be rude)

I know those places are bad, but I still don't think they come close to Flint and Detroit.
