San Antonio man pulls gun on rowdy line-cutting shopper

Black Friday got off to a rowdy start at a San Antonio mall where police say one shopper pulled a gun on another who punched him in the face while they were waiting in line at a Sears store.<O</O
Police Sgt. Rob Carey tells the San Antonio Express-News a man rushed into the store when it opened Thursday night to get to the front of a line, started arguing with people and tried cutting in front of them.<O</O
One man who got punched pulled a gun and that scattered shoppers, including the impatient line-cutter who took cover behind a refrigerator. Then he fled.<O</O
Carey says the man with the gun had a permit to carry the weapon and isn't being charged with a crime.<O</O

A friend of mine shared this video someone took and posted it on Facebook last night. Some lady who gets all pissed and tough talks because she says she got cut in front of in line. I don't know the person that took this video, but it's the only one I have seen so far.

SOUTH SACRAMENTO -
A shopper threatened to stab people while in line for K-Mart doorbuster deals in South Sacramento.
A line of hundreds had started wrapping the building on Stockton Boulevard since 2 a.m.
Once people came out to give vouchers, the crowds began yelling, cutting and screaming obscenities. That’s when one man threatened to stab others. They laughed, but he said he wasn’t joking. The people entered the store without any problems.
Officers arrived to cheers a little after K-Mart doors opened at 6 a.m. They said there should have been security to control the mob.
K-Mart has more doorbuster deals starting 8p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday

INDIANAPOLIS - Police had to be called in to break up scuffles that erupted at two Indianapolis Kmart stores early Thanksgiving morning.
Shoppers waited in line overnight at Kmarts across the country to get vouchers for a 32-inch plasma TV priced as just less than $200.

But tempers flared outside the stores at 2715 S. Madison Ave. and 6780 W. Washington St. when some shoppers began selling their vouchers for a profit and others were too late to get vouchers, police said.
No serious injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

Do these people really feel like they are saving "that much"? I don't even think that I would act that way if the **** was free.

They go crazy for this stuff but its just "stuff" and you have to pay for it...black friday really makes people go crazy.

I think part of it is the waiting in line forever aspect.

I once waited in line with a group for 60 hours to get tickets to a BYU vs. SDSU game, and we were guaranteed to get them based on our line position. The morning of, we realized we had been cut by hundreds of people, mostly fraternity guys. A riot broke out during the selling. Nothing massive because police stopped it almost immediately, but people are desperate for getting what they feel they deserve. Those who also want something but know they didn't deserve it will use excessive force.

It's just the nature of the beast.

By the way, I'm now all pissed again because I waited 60 hours for something I deserved, and didn't get **** for it.

I got my games/blu rays at Walmart last night, just strolled in at 9 with no problem. However I wanted to look at a mattress topper for my bed because I figured I was already there. They had a line set up in that area taped off, so I just ducked under it real quick and told the people in the area I was just looking at something. The people just flipped out and I could see a security officer about to move in so I just ducked out and left, wasn't worth the hassle to see a price

Shots Fired Outside Tallahassee WalMart

Tallahassee, FL -- 1:03pm
The WalMart on Apalachee Parkway is shut down after witnesses tell us multiple shots were fired right in front of the store. Witnesses tell us two couples were arguing and one of the men stared firing, He then took off in his car. Witnesses tell us it happened on the sidewalk right in front of the store.
We are awaiting a police spokesperson to arrive on scene to give our reporter on scene more information.
