    Re: Wallet Help

First time I've had a issue with one of my credit cards. The strip on the back is unreadable in most scanners.

I've heard from a cashier that happens when you have a lot of cards in your wallet.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I use a card holder that my girlfriend got me. I'm also a minimalist though. I only keep my student ID, driver's license, credit and debit cards, my fake ID, my insurance card, and a couple of bills in it. I try not to carry around a bulky wallet just because it's uncomfortable sometimes to have something like that in your pockets.

I'll keep your cards and cash safe.

Can't believe we're 16 posts in and no one offered this poor man some real help!

But seriously, I have a brown leather Guess wallet. It's pretty beat up but no problems with cards or losing anything yet. Don't they make special metal or plastic wallets now? I think I saw one in the "As Seen On TV" aisle at Walgreens...

Not sure if I want to sit on metal or plastic; in case I pass gas and melt the plastic. lol

Well, after talking up my trusty wallet from Kohl's, just last week, the material along the inside where the ID window and card slots are ripped and it's to the point now where I'm in the market for a new one.

After doing research, I'm going with dickey's choice, a Duluth Pack. I didn't know they made wallets until he mentioned his. They're made to last and if anything goes wrong, I can just drop it off for them to repair. I've heard nothing but good reviews on them. People who say they're hard on their wallet seem to be surprised at how much they can take.

I've had one I got for a present (assuming it was from Hot Topic because it's a Slipknot one) for a few years and I've never had any problems with cards breaking, being damaged etc.

Going through my wallet, I have 6 gift cards, 3 store cards, my debit card, 2 IDs and social security card. The only one that has any wear on it is my Best Buy Rewards Zone Card.

I'd recommend checking out Hot Topic because they seem to hold up extremely well and protect your cards.
