2013 New Year Resolutions Thread
Is it too early to think about next year? Cause I've been thinking of my new year's resolution already... Mine this year will be to acquire and maintain a 3.5 overall GPA throughout the year and to land a student nurse internship somewhere.
OS, what is your 2013 resolution?Tags: None -
Re: 2013 New Year Resolutions Thread
Entering my first semester of my Junior year and entering the Elementary Ed program so i'd like to get off to a good start by getting at least a 3.5 GPA or higher in those program classes.
Become more consistent in my eating/gym habits, I get into it then just stop for a little bit, etc. Which ultimately leads to me wanting to weigh about 150lbs or less. Was trying to in 2012, got down to almost 157 at one point but yeah the whole consistency problem.
Less spending on unnecessary entertainment things, need to save $$ to survive in the summer. Already starting by getting gamefly opposed to buying games that I may not touch often. Having more classes and having to wake up early more should cut out some of my $$ for partying.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

To not have a resolution.
Or the same resolution as last year, and date a girl out of my league.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 12-21-2012, 10:38 PM.Boston Red Sox

Re: 2013 New Year Resolutions Thread
Currently 7 days cigarette free. I started my resolution early since i probably would've broke it by 12:01 am.
I'm 26, been smoking since I was probably 12. Never really interfered with what i've done in my life. I've always been active. I'm about 5'8 187ish. Play a lot of sports and always at the gym. Run a 6:15-6:30 mile. My wife has been pleading for me to quit. I've been smoking more and more since I returned from iraq (infantry) in 2008 battling depression and just stress. Pretty excited to have been clean from smoking for these 7 days. So I guess my resolution would be not to "relapse". Sounds stupid but I come from a long line of addictive personalities.5Comment

I still dip though and dip even more now that I quit smoking, I think I may make it my new years resolution to quit dipping. But I'm not sure I really want to or not yet.
Other than that, I really have no resolutions. Plus my resolutions normally never stick.Comment

I've also quit smoking, I haven't had a cigarette in over a month now. And I feel great, better than ever.

If you do quit dipping find your triggers. Mine were like meals, taking dogs out, and cod/nba2k. So now i just grab a jolly rancher, or a straw i cut. Goodluck tho, bro and congrats on even cutting back!5Comment

Since we have similar goals, if you stay committed to the first one, the second one will become much more likely. At least that's what I'm hoping lol.Boston Red Sox

Re: 2013 New Year Resolutions Thread
I feel like you might struggle with that first part
For me, it's to get into the best shape of my life and get good at basketball. My biggest regret was not taking initiative in high school and not get into basketball shape and the end result was not making the team senior year when I tried out. I love basketball too much to not be good at it.“If you’re true to yourself, you’re going to be true to everyone else.”Comment

Mine is pretty simple. I refuse to get any games before release date. 2012 was my final year doing it.
