Re: Off Topic 2013
Hugh Douglas and Michael Smith, two thirds of ESPN’s afternoon TV show, Numbers Never Lie, were involved in a heated verbal altercation Friday night at a party in Orlando, three sources who witnessed the incident exclusively tell the Big Lead.
Douglas and Smith, both in Orlando for the National Association of Black Journalists convention, were attending a Sports Task Force party at the House of Blues when tensions rose and the pair had to be separated, sources said.
Douglas, a former NFL defensive lineman, is 6-foot-2 and more than 280 pounds; Smith, a journalist, is considerably smaller. It is unclear if the altercation got physical, but a source who witnessed most of the skirmish described the dust-up as “very ugly.”
An ESPN spokesman refused comment. Neither Smith nor Douglas have tweeted since the incident.
One source who was at the party said the verbal barbs were so nasty that “there’s no way” Douglas will be on Numbers Never Lie this week. An ESPN spokesman wouldn’t confirm that.
[UPDATE: ESPN spokesman David Scott has just released a statement to The Big Lead: "We are aware there was a disagreement between Hugh Douglas and Michael Smith on Friday. We are looking into the situation."]Comment

Sounds like a non-story to me. Got into a fight, which obviously wasn't physical beyond shoves if even that, despite attempts to try to spin it or act like something isn't being revealed.
Calmer heads will likely resolve whatever drunken words were said. Yeah, these guys should conduct themselves more professionally because they are semi-public figures, but this happens. Who cares.
The Monday news. LolNHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Off Topic 2013
I went to the local gamestore and found Beowulf for $3. It is easily the worst thing I've played, but at least it makes me laugh at its ability to be horrible. For some Odin reason they've included "rhythm" button sequences in the game. The monster battles are kind of cool, though.
I also bought Wet after a couple guys here recommending it. Plus, its got Eliza Dushku in it. I haven't started it yet. Instead, I started playing Assassins Creed 3. The prologue to the game is still badass. Hopefully tonight I can finally start playing as Connor, though. I've had the game since release, but never made it past the opening of the game.

My work is adding a new office for the new guy, which means construction right outside my door. It's really hard to concentrate with that much pounding and drilling going on. It may be time to see if I can work from home for a few days.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Assassin's Creed 3 has to be the worst large budget video game ever made. Game somehow managed to bore me to death even though it was set in a place and time that interests me. The clunky controls did not help either.Comment

Did you not enjoy it at all? I'm having a blast playing as Connor's father right now. I haven't noticed any problems with the controls apart from things that have been problems throughout the whole series.

3 just seemed buggy and rushed to me. Add in that I didn't think Conor was a good main character, and it was just very underwhelming.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals
