LOL, I disagree. I think social media is nothing but a drama pot. I've seen my kids go through so much agony over myspace/facebook bull****, and even put US through bull**** via these services which is a total chicken**** move.

Times were better when it was all face-to-face, phone calls, or hand-written notes and letters, IMO, as far as relationships go.

The only positive I'd give social media is that it's easier to connect or reconnect with distant friends and relations, no matter where they are. But in my experiences, the bad has nearly outweighed the good.

Amen. I deleted my Facebook a while back for that very reason. That's not to say it isn't possible to enjoy social media without all the nonsense-I occasionally use Twitter-but it just became something I didn't need in my life.

It's kinda funny because I'm actually still all over Facebook in pictures with my girlfriend, family, friends, I just don't care any longer about being tagged .

Social media just made it 100x easier to cheat. When I was growing up, you actually had to leave the house and open up your mouth to talk to girls and women. Now, all you have to do is pull out your smart phone and instantly have access to thousands of potential people you can be with.

Web cams, face cams, cameras on cell phones even made it worse. Now you can take selfies instantly or just face cam a person to know what they look like from head to toe without even leaving your house. I seen women take showers on web cam and skype before. My first day in college and first time going to the computer lab, I literally seen people up in there with 10 different message windows opened at the same time, talking to different people at the same time, telling them all the same BS setting up multiple dates on different days.

I was thinking wow, this guy think she is only talking to him, but she is talking to 9 other dudes at the same time, sending them the same pics.

Just got told I looked like Luke Bryan. If it wasn't an attractive woman saying it, I would have taken it as an insult and asked if they were legally blind. I look nothing like the guy

Yeah I only use social media to meet up or talk with people I actually know or have met. I'm not gonna use my phone and face time with a random person

I used to do it with myspace some back in my HS days.

For some reason it seems creepier to me now.

I never send requests to anyone, but I do get them from time to time. I always reject people I don't know unless it's an attractive girl..

You would be amazed how many people do it with random people. Hell I am amazed by the amount of people that claim people they only talked to ONLINE, never met in person as their girlfriend or boyfriend. I had a co worker do that. Like most people you know, we tend to talk about our wives, GFs, etc from time to time on a regular basis when it is slow at work. This guy would chime in all the time. We thought nothing of it. Many months go by and another co worker just moved into a new house and he invited over for a house warming BBQ.

So everybody was thinking wow,(I'll call him Tom) Tom, can't wait to meet your GF, we heard so much about her. Now at this point he was the only one out of the group that nobody ever seen his GF in person before anywhere in town. Tom goes I don't think she will be able to fly up here, she has a busy schedule. I said where is she ? He goes Alabama. Then the guy hosting the BBQ said well how long she will be down there ? Tom says she lives there. I said oh she got a job transfer, when she transfer down there ? Tom says she has always lived there.

At this point we all looking at each other with a confused look on our face. So I said what you two do alternate who visits every other weekend or something ? Tom says oh we never met in person, we just web cam chat. BBQ guy just snaps and says WTF really loud.

I tell Tom well why you talking about her and calling her your girlfriend when you 2 never met ? Tom says but we web cam chat, she is faithful to me and I am faithful to her. I said but Tom, she lives over a 1,000 miles away, you don't know what she does when she isn't on web cam. She could be married and only be online when her husband is at work for all you know. Tom wasn't having it, so we just left it alone.

The show is still running and Ash continues to the be the same kid as when the show started, there's some somewhat creepy theory about that.

One of my brothers began watching it again two weeks ago and he feels it's a lot better than Pokemon, I can't remember both to make an assuption since I last watch them when I was a kid.

As a kid, I got more attached to the Digimon show. I still woke up early on Saturdays to watch Pokemon, but the games were so much fun, to me.

Part of me wants to watch Pokemon right now - I missed so many episodes.

I'm just now realizing Robin Thicke is Alan Thicke's son.

Not sure if that makes Alan more or less cool.
