From eighth grade until I graduated high school, my nickname was Gizmo, because on one of the first days of baseball practice my eighth grade year one of the seniors said that I looked like Gizmo off of Gremlins. No one, other than my friends from high school, are allowed to call me that.MLB: Minnesota Twins

At work, one of my managers always has nicknames for me. He'll call me T-Pain, T-Bag, T-Dogg...
His name is Connor, so I'm contemplating calling him C-Section one of these days.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: Off Topic 2013
Never really had a nickname growing up as a child. In the military my nickname was Gotmadskillzson, this 2 star General who was visiting the base called me that when I was in boot camp one day at the shooting range. The kiss butt DI's started calling me that as well and made everybody in the barracks call me Gotmadskillzson. I thought nothing of it really because the DI's gave everybody a nickname anyway.
Get to my 1st real posting and guess who I see at this base, the 2 star General, apparently this was his actual base he was from. My 2nd week there, he spotted me while walking with other high ranking officers and a few NCOs. He said Gotmadskillzson is under my command now ? Hot damn ! So once again all the kiss butts started calling me Gotmadskillzson.
After the military I went without a nickname for a few years. Then one woman I was with called me bear. Shortly after all her friends called me bear as well. Over the years every military function I go to, I noticed all women call me bear and want to hug me.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
I think he omitted the part where said 2-star general was impressed with his skills at said shooting range which is the true origin of the nickname. Pretty sure I remember him saying something to that effect in a thread about the origin of OS members usernames.
