It'll be airing most Sundays starting in September, and it'll take like 1-2 months to get through all episodes(again). Unlike a show such as Friends in which it had like 200 or something episodes, so it'd take quite some time to get through even if you watched 1 a day.

Anyone got any good tv shows I should watch? Mostly just for me to watch 1 episode a day.

I don't want it to be a show that's 1hr long, or one of those crime/drama shows either. Preferably just a 30min sitcom or something.

I just finished going through Friends(I watched about an episode a day since the start of 2013,so it took me more than half a year to finish it), so I'm thinking maybe something like Seinfeld.

How I Met Your Mother and Friends are basically the same show. Only difference being one takes place in a bar instead of a coffee shop.

I'm already doing that for HIMYM(I'm watching every single episode from start to finish,mostly because it's the final season of HIMYM, so if I ever watch these episodes like this again,it won't be me watching a currently airing show,it'd be me watching an already ended show)

And I've been watching HIMYM for a number of years already, so ya....


I do hope that once HIMYM ends, someone creates another show like HIMYM/Friends, cause TV has had Friends from 1994-2004 and then HIMYM from 2005-2014. So if no tv show like HIMYM/Friends is created by 2015, will feel strange to not see a show like that on TV.

How I Met Your Mother was the new Friends, New Girl is the next show in that line.

It lacks the studio audience multi-cam presentation, but it's almost the same show really.

What about it makes it similar to those 2 shows? Cause looking at tv ratings for the show, it doesn't look that great in season 2, and studio audience/camera presentations are another thing that did make HIMYM/Friends similar(though Friends audience had much bigger/better reactions than HIMYM ever had)

Some of the best shows were cancelled for bad ratings and then turned out to be stellar.. like Arrested Development. The Big Bang Theory gets massive ratings and a lot of us hold the opinion that the show sucks.

I was skeptical at first, but I really like New Girl.

It's about 4 friends living together in an apartment.

Friends is basically that, I mean they never all lived together but they might as well have. And the main group on HIMYM is almost always together in the same place as well.

Also HIMYM isn't filmed in front of an audience. They dub in the laughs in post-production. That's probably why Friends seemed louder.

And as Chase said, ratings mean nothing in terms of the quality of the show.
