I love having 2 monitors at work. I have OS up on one, Cardinals game on the other. Somehow today hasn't been overly productive for my work though.

Anyone have any experiences, scares with Hodgkin's Disease/Lymphoma?

I've been paying attention to a very small, lump on the bottom of the side of my neck it's a little above my shoulder blade on my right side. I always thought it was just a swollen gland from a morning cold, but it hasn't gone away and it's been a few months. You can barely even notice it, it's like smaller then a dime but I can feel it when my neck flexes a certain way, and it's not like that on the other side of my neck.. (smooth, with no noticeable bumps on the left side of my neck)

It's not painful at all, even poking it slightly there's really no feeling. It's not hard, and I can move it around... Seems like it might be a swollen lymph node; but the fact that it hasn't evened out is a little concerning. I was reading about Swollen lymph nodes and they usually occur during/after an infection / cold / allergies; but they usually are relieved of swelling in a few weeks after the infection is fought off. If you have a lymph node that remains swollen it could be Lymphoma. Which is pretty scary stuff.

However I'm really confused as I'm not displaying any symptoms of lymphoma, Fever, Night Sweats, Aches, Loss of appetite, Excessive tiredness. I have none of that. Okay I do feel a little tired time to time, but it's mainly from work and when I get rest I feel fine. I also read that people that develop Lymphoma usually have multiple swollen Lymph nodes, and I only have the one on the side of my neck and it's a very small, barely noticeable bump. All the other key areas Arm pits, behind the ears, and chest all look normal.

I'm going to try to schedule a Doctor to look at it, but it might take a little bit because of a hectic schedule. It's probably no cause for concern and I shouldn't worry much until I can get it looked at, but it's still concerning to think about.

I had two lumps, one on my right shoulder and one on my back.
It was like a little ball of something soft, but hard alltogether. Sounds weird but yea.
Went to the doc expecting all sorts of bad things to happen, turns out it was basically fat cells that had nowhere to go and piled up in a lump.

Had it removed, it hurt like hell and worse, but it was completely harmless and it never came back.

It's always best to get it checked out. I don't think you have anything to worry about given your lack of symptoms, but it's always best to make sure.

Yeah I'm going to try not to think much of it, and will get it looked at as soon as some week day time opens up at work.

One thing that makes me feel better is last year I had an abscessed tooth removed, and I had a mild ear infection both on the Right side of my face, same side as the bump. So the swollen gland is most likely an after effect from those things.

Got off of work early today because of the thunderstorm. This means one of two things:

              A) Nature is allowing me more time to get my 5 page paper done before it is due tomorrow at 9.

              OR

              B) Nature is allowing me more time to procrastinate and ignore the fact that I've got a 5 page paper due tomorrow at 9.

              I'm going with B.

What websites do you guys usually use to browse hotels ?

I've went through a couple links that eventually take you to specific companies, but just thought there might be something better out there to help compare prices.

Anything good out there besides Expedia ?

****ing ****s at this god damned apartment complex. They had my car toward last Friday (I have no need to go anywhere so it was parked in an open parking spot, its registered to be able to park in the complex) and didn't check before towing or letting me know after towing.

****ing 600 dollars to get it out. If I've ever wanted to go GTA on some ****sticks today would be that day.

Try Booking.com and Tripadvisor, that's about all I used for my trips across Europe and USA.

                      Thanks.

Just a quick search on that Booking.com and I'm all ready finding some nicer hotels at a better price.

I was looking for the Tripadvisor quote from that episode of The Office, something about it being the lifeblood of something something, but I found this instead which is even better.

Me, "I was looking into booking a room at your hotel and I can't find the check in and check out times."

Her "Check in is at 4pm and Check out at 11am"

                            Me, "Okay thanks".

Her "I would also like to let you know that our hotel is currently under construction and the balconies in each room are currently not accessible.

Me, "Oh.. well.. I noticed the prices didn't change because of that. Thanks for your information and honesty, though.. have a good day".
