Dollywood is a tourist trap but the scenery in Sevierville/Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is nice.

In Tennessee, if you're getting fast food at any point go to a Zaxby's.

Zaxby's is tasty, but it's the House of the Shrinking Chicken. Their chicken pieces seem to get smaller every time I go there.

In Knoxville, either eat at Ye Olde Steakhouse or Litton's. Ruth's Chris on the river is good too. There's a GREAT pizza place in Knoxville called Hard Knox Pizzeria. It's in Sequoyah Hills just south of campus.

Dollywood is a tourist trap but the scenery in Sevierville/Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is nice.

In Nashville, I recommend getting brunch at The Southern. Get the chicken & waffles. Amazing. Also go see the original opry theatre just up the street from Bridgestone Arena where the Predators play. The arena is pretty damn cool too as it's designed to look like a flying saucer.

Dollywood is constantly ranked among the best amusement/theme parks in the country. It's worth a visit...I've been trying to make it there for years.

I had it...it was phenomenal. I switched back due to a great deal from Cableivison. I would highly recommend it.

My brother and his boyfriend have it in their townhouse and they both rave about it whenever they get a chance. I asked my brother last night and its about 30-40 cheaper than what I'm getting now for practically the same features/service.

Unfortunately the house isn't wired for fiber, but it would probably be a good feature for the house to have for the future.

Tourist trap really is a good definition for Dollywood.

I haven't been to the water park and they have expanded it since my visit, but for the prices and what it had to offer, my family found it very underwhelming. Everyone's different, though. It wouldn't be praised if no one enjoyed it.. just not my thing.

I like the Pigeon Forge area too.. It's a lot of fun.


My last visit wasn't for fun. My friend's brother's motorcycle broke down in the mountains and his dad called us asking if we could come get it. It was a few hour drive and we basically stayed the night and left the next day, but I remember arriving around 2am and finding a local place serving fresh pizza.

I couldn't believe they were even open, but it was bad ***.

I'd be willing to put up with it for a few hours to ride the roller coasters Dollywood has. Thunderhead was ranked the 15th best wooden roller coaster in the world last year, and then you have Wild Eagle/Tennessee Tornado/Mystery Mine to compliment it...definitely worth dealing with Tennessee yokels for a few hours.
