The one I'm on now is called... "How the universe works". It's like 8 episodes and narrated by Mike Rowe. HD and beautiful. They interview some good people (it seems) and then Rowe breaks down what they say. It's pretty damn crazy, but I've enjoyed it a lot thus far. It's on Netflix.Comment

That *looks* to be a Californian (can't tell for sure, I suppose it could be cross-bred at some point, but again, I can't tell). There are breeds that get even bigger than that. Exhibit A, the Flemish Giant:

Re: Off Topic 2013
Shopping 101 advice. Pay close attention to what you are buying. Prime example of today:
So I was in Staples buying a Hepa Filter, came across some Toilet paper, 24 rolls, 2 ply for $11.99. Thought cool, grabbed it. Right next to it, they had another pallet full of 30 rolls, 2 ply for $20.99. I saw women grabbing it like crazy, which is what caused me to notice it in the first place.
I walk over there thinking ok it must be something different about it, 3 ply or something. Nope, 2 ply, same brand. I was thinking well why the hell people paying $9 more for 6 more rolls ? That makes no sense. But people were buying it up like it was a good deal, when in reality it wasn't.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
I'm one of those guys that'll stare at **** in a section of a store until I figure out what the best deal is.
I'm not one of those guys, however, who has no awareness as to what's occurring around them as they continue to stand in the way. Can't stand that ****.Comment

"Ooh let's buy 5 we save money!" Um... no. We need two, we don't need to buy an extra three and spend $10 more dollars just to "save" $10-15.badComment

Gah, that could go in the "Gear grinders" thread for me. It's like when you need one or two of said given product and the store will have them at 5/$25.
