I swear I just can't sit down a play a video game very long anymore, the days of me playing 3 to 4 hours straight are over.

Normally once I get past an hour and a half or two hours I'm about burnt out. Used to be I could go 3-4 hours at a time no problem... not anymore.

I try to do the marathon in support of extra life every year... Last year I felt like a zombie towards the end. Young me would be kicking old me's ***.

I blame it on the lack of quality, gripping AAA games. We're really in a crappy spot for them for a plethora of reasons.

NBA 2k14 had my attention for a little while, and it will hold it when the nba season officially starts. But not for very long, I used to wake up and game all day and all night if nothing was happening, and if a new game came out, I would be glued to my chair.

Now I'm playing in quick bursts it seems like, I'll play the show for 3 or 4 innings, then quit. Used to play back to back to back 9 inning games. Turned 2K on played a quarter, and quit, and I was ahead in both of those games too.

I don't know, I'm a Bi polar gamer now

Had to take my mother to the hospital tonight. My 3-year-old niece is staying the night and it'd freak her out if she woke up and both of my parents weren't here.

My mom was fighting a cold and allergies this past week, and tonight around midnight she woke up and could hardly breathe. So I took her to the hospital and sat there for 3 hours to get a shot of steroids. I have to work in 4 hours.

I think I win the Son of the Day award, or something. Regardless, I'm just glad my mom's fine.

Good for you man! Hoping for the best. Us stock guys gotta stick together! As I posted a week ago, I got promoted recently, 3 dollar increase per hour, but the addition of full time hours (no more two jobs!), benefits, vacation, PTO makes it sweet. I believe in the company too, I know if anything happens they'll take care of me. Staff is amazing too. I was lucky to get hired into a good employee base in a good company. The comparison between my two jobs was night and day.

You busted your *** for under 9 in 5 years? Yeah man, you deserve this. It's amazing how some companies will take advantage of good workers... The grass is greener on the other side, I assure you.

Yeah man, thanks. Sucks because I needed the money and have them every opportunity to try to find a place for me full time or give me a raise but they never did. I'm grateful for the job and all but you can only take so much getting paid so low.

They paid you $8.75 for 5 years of work? That seems like it isn't enough.

Yeah our raises consists of .05 to .15 cents with the occasional .25 one.

Also did I mention that about 4 and a half years of that was on night shift as well.

I'm still with my dad's plan, and it's a good one. But anything over the 2GB limit, and it was 10 bucks for an extra 1GB. So if you went over just .1, might as well use the other .9 and get your money's worth.

Not sure if that's a universal rule or not, we've been with Verizon since the mid 2000's and this plan the same time.

My dad looked it up somehow, but I remember him saying it was a bitch to find this useful information. How interesting...

I think the most I've made it recently is 90 minutes or so on GTAV and The Show back in March. Other than that, I can't make it 45 minutes. It's why I have such a hard time playing other sports games. I've always been a 'realistic stat' guy and games just take way too long if I want that result. Even on GTAV/The Show, I still only played them for about a month before getting bored. Games just can't hold my interest anymore. It's unfortunate, because they get me excited prior to release, but the actual gameplay doesn't do it for me.



On the subject of dating girls with kids, I think it'd likely all come down to how old the kid is. Doubt I'd want to deal with a baby or a teenager, but an age between the two might be okay.

Don't make my mistake. I was interested in dating one but it never worked out. And of course she turned out to be childhood friends with my wife. It made for a very weird moment years ago when we ran into her around town. Hear it from my wife every now and then. Lol
