It definitely worked for me. They don't shed anywhere near as bad as they used to. But I only use the shampoo once every three months so as not to dry out their skin.

Our Chiweenie is a TV watcher. He's intense about it too. Also he goes nuts every time that GEICO Spelling Bee Commercial comes on. He can be in a dead sleep, hear it and go crazy. It's hilarious.Go with a rescue for sure. Mine is a german shepherd and golden retriever mix. She's got mostly a GS face and body but her coat is a golden coat. She's weird about vehicles though since she was born and spent her first month under one as a puppy.
She's a quick learner though and oddly enough will watch tv. It's hilarious to watch her do it.
I've had two pugs and both of them shed everywhere at certain times of the year. Also, I can't say that either were really that bright, but they were both very lovable and cute which are both great qualities.
Well, that's what my mother always told me anyway.

Was a technical glitch apparently

Only Pug I ever knew belonged to my cousin's friend. They got him back around the time the Gremlins moves were out and his name was Gizmo.
Newfoundlands and Labs are awesome.
A friend who I went to high school with told me a story about how their German Shepherd save his brother's life once. When his brother was a baby and sleeping in his crib one night he apparently slipped between the mattress and rail and the dog saw this and alerted his parents.GS not good with kids? The only time it made any threatening antics was when my half-brother's father went to take a step onto the deck (our drive way drove up to the back of the house) and her hair raised and she went into that gut-growl.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

First date tonight since the engagement was broken off back in July. Well, first if you don't count the multiple set-ups by friends that resulted in nothing more than hookups.
She just moved here from North Carolina over the summer. Taking her to this awesome sushi place over in Mountain Brook.
Also, a radio station here just started playing Christmas music. WTF.Twitter

Re: Off Topic 2013
I don't know about the breed, but apparently this one was a beast. One of those extremely loyal to my dad & mom, but not so much towards anyone else. My dad told me that my grandfather told him that was the only dog that ever scared him. So my dad had to do the responsible thing, and choose his first son over his dog. He still talks about that dog all the time. Really loved him, must've been really hard to do but an easy choice.GS not good with kids? We rescued a German Sheppard and some type of mix which I think was a GR mix. He had the head of a GR but the rest of his body was GS. He was older, about 10, was a stray his whole life. But somehow he was bathroom trained, but didn't know what a treat was. Only had him a year before he died (had a lot of medical issues, we tried dearly), but I'd put him as my favorite dog of all-time. He instantly was just the bomb, and he really liked me. We've had a few other really good dogs too, but Rex was just on another level. I'm so glad we were able to give him at least one good year of life.Go with a rescue for sure. Re: Off Topic 2013
Spoiler
I wouldn't hesitate at all to have one (or more) around any future children I might have. The one I grew up with, Kaiser, used to let me do anything I wanted to him. Pull his ears, his tail, his fur. I used to ride him like a horse and he'd just walk around the house perfectly okay with it. I'd get into his kennel and take a nap all curled up with him.
As I got older I started to see how good they are with children. My dogs let random kids come up to them and behave just as you'd want them to. They sit, give a few kisses, and let the kids pet them for as long as they want. Haven't had even a hint of aggressiveness.
Obviously we all have our own experiences, and I can understand if you wouldn't want one around your child, just thought I'd give a little perspective as a current GSD owner, and as someone who grew up with one. I thank my parents every day for having one when I was little. Can't ask for a better furry friend IMO.Comment

Hey do you have cats by chance? Or does anyone know if huskies generally can get along with them?
I've always wanted a husky but I have two cats, one that would get along with a willing dog fine another that would be terrified. Just curious how the dynamic might work.Comment
