Change of subject.........

something I learned today going through some old boxes. Apparently people are given baby books when they have a child. My wife still has her baby from her mom when she was born. Along with all baby pictures and growing up as a kid pictures.

I was shocked, never seen a baby book before. Parents didn't have one, hell none of my relatives or friends with kids had one. Heck my parents didn't even own a camera. So the only child hood pictures I had was school pictures. Which don't have those anymore, destroyed in the flood over a decade ago.

Back on subject........

Seen all the Star Wars and Star Trek movies. I prefer Star Trek over Star Wars. Seen all the Star Trek tv series as well.

Change of subject again.......

2 of my friends daughters had their babies in the last 7 days. One had her's last week, 6 weeks early. The other had her's yesterday, 2 weeks late. Both of them had girls.

I did enjoy the 3rd one a lot, the ending was fantastic. The first one was alright just because of the Darth Maul fight.

Empire Strikes Back is great from a story standpoint, but my favorite is probably Return of The Jedi. My mom(a big star wars nerd) always says i'm not really her son since I support a movie where furry little creatures dominate a technologically superior empire.

Regarding the original trilogy being corny and kind of sucky......

If I never seen em as a kid and were presented with them i'd still watch them. They have a vibrancy and epic feel as it tells one long story. The first movie is a bit "off" only because Lucas didn't know if he was going to be able to film his trilogy but I can forgive him for that. It's a fantastic trio of films that has the feeling of the old time matinee serials and takes elements out of Kirosawa (sp?) That's good enough to watch for me!

I, too, have never seen any of the Star Wars movies... and if you tell anyone that you haven't they look at you as if you just admitted to murdering a puppy.

On another note, we watched The Powerpuff Girls in one of my classes today... I now know why I never watched that as a kid... that **** is messed up.

I always thought the end of Episode III was the weakest part of that one. It feels like he ran out of time after the epic duel, and squished everything into a five minute montage to keep the length down. Still, it's definitely the best of the prequels and I do agree that it compares with the originals.

My wife and I rewatched the whole series last year and after not having seen Episode I in over a decade, it was better than I remember. Still not good, but it wasn't the abomination that I thought it was. IMO, II is the weakest.

I've never been a fan of Star Wars but I've somehow seen every movie. The only Star Wars-related thing I've liked is KOTOR.

I guess I'm going to the urgent care to get a doctor's excuse for today.

They saw how extremely sick I was at work last night. I didn't even know if I could drive home last night and now they are questioning if I'm really sick.

I feel a little better today and actually have an appetite, but I still feel like garbage. I just wanted a day to rest and get better.

I didn't think Walmart would be that bad on a Tuesday morning, but holy hell. I was just trying to get groceries and people were sprawled three-wide in an aisle like it was turn four at Daytona. Just trying to get through to grab some food bros, don't mind me.
