Make sure you get your food facts from legitimate sources and actually understand the reasoning behind everything and how it interacts, not a chain-mail that has been passed around about many foods.
Every time I read some circulation junk I always check Snopes lol.

It was much easier to link to that than to type out why it was wrong. They explain it better than I can anyways.

Snopes is awesome though, I always browse it for random facts about businesses/supernatural stuff.

I guess there's two sides to every story. But, I still think watching what I eat is a good thing to do.

About two months ago, I completely stopped drinking soda. I've been drinking a lot of water, and I don't have a problem with that. I've realized that the money you save from just getting water at restaurants adds up. I'll have an occasional Gatorade or a Powerade Zero, but that's about it.

Most definitely. I wasn't trying to disillusion you from what you eat. I'm a big fan of nutrition / facts / eating healthy, even if I don't practice the healthy eating part myself all the time. I try my best, but don't have enough cash to do it every day on a constant basis.

Reminds me of the big aspartame scare, which I guess was started with a smear campaign chain mail.

They flip flop back and forth every few months anyway. One month they say wine is good for you, then it is bad for you, now good for you. Now I seen the other day they now saying over weight people live longer then skinny people, go figure. I guess what lobby firm writes the bigger check at the moment is what they tell people what is good or bad for you.

Come February that crowd will be 80% gone. That is usually how it goes.

Yeah the thing is all the things that they go back and forth over are the things that technically aren't part of a "healthy" diet most of the times. Just the guilty pleasure that america loves.

I've been procrastinating going back to the gym since July (been a combination of either really busy or really lazy for months), was thinking I'd finally get back to it, not as a resolution just because I need to, but then realized it'll be a mad-house due to everyone's resolutions... I've waited 6 months, I can wait another

Although the dumb part is I'm still paying every month, but I figure that provides a little added incentive for me to actually go, otherwise it'd never happen lol

In general, at least heart health wise, margarine is healthier for you. Stick to the ones with no trans fats though. There is a difference in margarine brands though so butter is healthier for you than some of them.

Eh, whatever. Don't eat this, drink that, workout this many times a week, watch yourself while doing this.

I'm pretty sure we basically know how to keep ourselves healthy. These experts flip flop so damn much I don't pay attention to them. It's like trying to watch the 10 day forecast in the Midwest.

Here's a link from a pretty decent source.

Margarine usually tops butter for heart health. But not all margarines are created equal.

I thought females did the whole "this is healthy" "this isn't" thing. I thought we just eat everything?
