      Burgh just said "fluvial"

You get your nerd badge back. Only a master can say words like that out of the blue without blinking.

So can you live off 1000 a month? I need to move out but the job I got is the only job I can find. Managed to build up about 400 in my bank account after being really stingy about what I spend.

        I hate this crap.

You can live some places off 1000 a month, technically. You'll be scraping by, but it's doable.

Out here? No. Our one bedroom apartment costs 1100 a month to rent.

Back home in Wisconsin? I could find a decent place for 400/month to live, plus food and other stuff. If you aren't paying rent and don't have debt to pay down, 1000 is enough. You'll have to cut out some of the nice stuff people enjoy though. Again, it's all dependent on where you live.

I know WV isn't too expensive, but I don't know exactly where it falls on the spectrum.

Well my pay checks range from anywhere to $230-$300 a week. Worse time to start a diet since **** is more expensive but I'm also eating less so there's that.

Your average Walmart worker and people at the bottom of the military, the E1 and E2's do it all the time. Not the easiest, not fun, but it is doable until you can find something better.

Typically I see places in Martinsburg/Hesgesville area for about 400-1000 dollars a month. Some with Utilities included other than electric.

Man you need to get you some newspapers and start cutting coupons. I save around $200 a month, sometimes $300 a month on groceries using coupons.

Yeah I work in a grocery store and see some people come in and get about 200-300 dollar groceries for Luke 50 bucks with coupons. Our store now is doing digital coupons where you go on our site and add the coupons you want to the stores card do when you use the store card the coupon saving are automatically deducted.

I also know I can qualify for food stamps but promised myself not to resort to them for personal reasons. There's people who need them worse than me out there.

Yeah so you can do that. Less you have to spend on food, the more you can spend in other areas of your life.

Nothing wrong with relying on food stamps, or "bridge card" as it's called here, anything to help you get by in the mean time.

That's what a bridge card is? I'd assumed that there was a toll bridge you had to drive across regularly and your bridge card was some sort of pass/payment card for the toll.
